Using a script builder for doing any actual coding is what's useless.
The point of that command line is to let us use some bits of code to inspect the game state when it is otherwise broken. |

Which is generally what we do. Believe it or not, MOST users DON'T spend hours developing things they will use maybe three times in an SB.

| Jaccob, well over 100 users, besides over half of thoughs users are ACTUAL scripters, the other half are free model nubs. |

I never use SBs anymore. Cause I have a mac. I can't copy and paste, so I just have to make completely flawless, spotless code in the chatbar. It's good practice, though.

Well, I'm just trying to point that executing scripts in-game can be both useful and fun. - Fun in SBs; many players actually enjoying SB (i remember Anamainus SB with over 20k visits a week, but now lowered due to new chatbar and school). - Useful for Testing in-game; "to inspect the game state when it is otherwise broken." - stravant

Actually, all SBers I go to have (and had) 5 glitched servers and 1 server with 2 people in it. If you are on at the correct time, maybe you will see 1 or 2 full servers. |

I also doubt that most games even have the infrastructure to make this possible. It's only possible in battle because there are a lot of "access points" such as global functions and bindable methods that let you meaningfully act on the game state from a short command line snippet. |

| Because the Lua textbox is bad, and the new chat needed to be implemented using that. And it needed to be implemented using that to be consistent across platforms. |

I have a solution to fix everyone's problems fix the 1024 limit on all text fields on all gui objects, then add in your little limit for 1024 chars for the chat. |

That's a lot better reason than Sorcus gave us. Which in hindsight, asking someone who isn't even a studio/client developer is a stupid thing to do.
