| I'm bored. Challenge me in scripting. Post something and I'll try to script it. I rate myself a 3/10. Just remember that when you think of a challenge. c: |

If you could help me with my forum post, that'd be nice
But if you want something fresh:
A flying pig, animated wings, shoots raycasted lasers at any player with 'cow' in their name, drops eggs that explode after a few seconds, named 'Charlie', with pathfinding AI. |

This sub-Forum is for those who need help scripting. I would assume you need help scripting, because you posted here, no? |

Uh...okay.
A two-section door with at least 100 parts per frame, that opens up by CFraming. |

| Yes. A challenge would help me learn. So It'd be helping myself. |

"Pathfinding AI" "Flying pig" Why pathfinding if it is in the air? Just have it fly above the nearest target. |

"We aren't here to help you learn; we are here to help fix your script."
Are you high? o.o That's exactly why this forum exists. The whole point of helping people fix their script is so that they can learn from their own mistakes. |

Rephrasing is needed.
The users of Scripting Helpers are here to help people on the threads they create, not to give challenges to people. If you want to learn, make a script, and we'll help you. |

"Need help with a script you are writing? Need to edit an existing script? This is the place to share your 1337 Lua programming skills and help others."
The two key phases in this line are "share your 1337 Lua programming skills" and "help others"
The entire point is to help, regardless. Players ARE allowed to ask for entire scripts. That rule was already ironed out a long time ago. It's simply people like you who don't let go of your... "old ways" and refuse to accept that Roblox's rules have become more lax over the years to allow us more freedom. Players are also allowed to ask for scripting challenges, granted the thread creator could have worded that differently, maybe asking for ideas instead of requesting a challenge.
My point is, you're doing more harm than good. Experienced players must be patient with others or we simply chase people away. Having a selfish and arrogant attitude doesn't help, either. |

"Players ARE allowed to ask for entire scripts"; this is irrelevant. I know that rule was rid of a while ago.
"Players are also allowed to ask for scripting challenges"; asking for challenges draws attention that could otherwise be used to *help*.
"selfish and arrogant attitude"; I don't know how, exactly, that statement could've been considered selfish. As for arrogance, a lot of people go onto this sub-Forum to help. Is that not arrogance, in itself? |

| When was the last time you actually helped anyone anyway? I've only seen you post on a few threads today and all you've done is insult people as if you believe you're always right and everyone else is always wrong. You are selfish, and you are arrogant. You do not contribute to this community and I'm sure I speak for a great many people when I respectfully ask you to either stop or leave. People don't post in a help section unless they actually want help, regardless of their method of asking, or what kind of help for that matter. I don't see you chewing people out for posting game advertisements in the Building Helpers forum. |

A brick. That shoots lasers from the bottom of it, shoots nukes all over the place, breaks joints, makes the skybox go dark, eats cats and makes them into muffins please. |

"When was the last time you actually helped anyone anyway? I've only seen you post on a few threads today and all you've done is insult people as if you believe you're always right and everyone else is always wrong." - Your knowledge is that of the minority of today. Last time I attempted to help someone was, in fact, today. As per insulting people, most of the time, I *am* actually correct. If I am not, and I realise it, I apologise. What kind of argument would it be, though, if both sides didn't believe they were correct? That is how it is in the real world, it doesn't change here.
"You do not contribute to this community and I'm sure I speak for a great many of people when I respectfully ask you to either stop or leave." - Do you not realise how little even the top contributors of SH actually contribute to the community? Thousands of posts could be made helping people, and it wouldn't change much. Most of the community still wouldn't understand how to script. It is funny, though, that you bring up the false "fact" that I don't contribute to the community. I remember that I had to use my iPod (2G) to help people on the Forum when I had lost my desktop for over half-a-year (due to hardware malfunctions).
"People don't post in a help section unless they actually want help, regardless of their method of asking, or what kind of help for that matter." - You are right; but is it not those of us who help to choose whether or not we would like to help a person?
"I don't see you chewing people out for posting game advertisements in the Building Helpers forum." - I don't visit Building Helpers.
As for calling me "arrogant" prior, the reason a lot of people are on this Forum is not to help, but because of egoism. They could care less about helping people, and just want to flaunt that they know something that other people don't. I don't come here for gratification; I know I can script well, at least *enough* to help. I wouldn't have spent all the time I didn't have a desktop on my iPod helping people. Get over your quarrel with me. |

| This conversation is over. you're so focused on trying to make everyone think you're more intelligent than everyone else that you simply won't see reason. I feel sorry for you and I truly hope that in the future you will come to terms with your ego. Perhaps some day you will be able to contribute what is necessary to earn real respect. Until then, have a nice day. |
