Welcome to the Pokémon Field, where many people and Pokémon alike come to form teams-- no, wait. Lemme start from the beginning.
50 Years ago, the world experienced a drastic change. Humongous trees appeared out of nowhere, seas rose and covered almost 45% of the world's surface, fog appeared almost everywhere and nearly all electronics stopped working. It was utter chaos! Most of humanity and Pokémon died! Wait, no. I forgot something.
I forgot to mention the monsters. That's right, monsters ranging from small and petty to big and downright frightening also appeared out of nowhere. We're talking small black blobs with eyes, to demons with wings and razor sharp claws. You get the picture.... right?
Where are we now?
Well, we're at one of the few settlements that we have in this new world. It's right next to the Pokémon Field, where... you already know. It's like a Mystery Dungeon thing, with explorations and team forming and whatnot... only with a lot more death and monsters. And humans.
AND IT IS VERY COLD.
Which brings me to Light Crystals!
That's right, Light Crystals! Crystals of light! Warmth! And most importantly, LIGHT!
I'm too young to know exactly when we all discovered this whole "Light Crystal" business, but there should be something about it in The Library. Basically, Light Crystals ward the fog and cold away, and they also can be used for fuel. We survive off of these things!
Too bad we gotta go into dark scary places to find them. Too bad we're running low. Too bad WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE AHHHH-
....sorry.
But hey, you'll be able to do something about it!
Right?
[Rules]
No godmodding. No teleportation. No insta-knowledge. Your character can die. If they do, you must make a new one or keep using another. Three characters max. The exception is if they both die, you can make another three. Type ifollowdarules in your CS. Romance? I won't stop you, but please try to keep it down. We needs action, not mushy kissy stuff. NO PITY CHARACTERS. GOD FORBID THOSE. NO MARY/GARY-SUES EITHER. GRRRR I control the NPCs. Monsters, however, I will leave to you/your team. Please keep it fair and realistic. You can't start unless I approve your CS. This is logic.
[Character Sheets]
[Human] Name: @ge: Gender: Appearance: Bio: (optional. keep it rather short too.) Weapon: (Melee only)
[Pokémon]
Name: Gender: Species: Level: (5-15 for starting characters) Moves: (use an online guide, like Serebii) Bio: (optional, keep it short.)
Well that's that. Oh yeah, we also developed new kinds of technology. For example, headset translators that run on Light Crystals! You can guess what those are for. That's right, they are issued to Pokémon with human teammates to allow them to communicate properly. You can't have a plan when all your teammate can say is "Pikachu"!
If you have any questions about this RP world, feel free to ask. |

(I'll admit it's a pretty interesting idea, with some more admins it could actually be successful. Shouldn't laterns exist in this world though since the crystals play a very important rule? And is it ok if you use Bulbapedia as a move guide?) |

(I didn't say you couldn't use Bulbapedia, so by all means, go right ahead.
Lanterns do exist, and like most other things, they are powered by the Light Crystals. They cannot permanently clear a foggy area, though they do light the way. Like a lantern. :P) |

(The monsters appeared with the fog, trees and other things 50 years ago, so yeah. Also, Baseball doesn't really exist anymore. The knife is okay however.
Accepted, but please revise the bio. Sorry for leaving some stuff out. :(
You gotta start in the settlement. You can't survive the fog without Light Crystals, so travelling to random places all the time through the fog isn't a viable option.) |

(Since it's a roleplay that's mostly Mystery Dungeon I kind of just wanted to start out with two Pokemond characters
So)
Pokemon CS:
Name: Featherweight Gender: Male Species: Ducklett Level: 9 Moves: Water Gun, Wing Attack, Defog Bio: A runaway for reasons not yet known, he found his friend and they formed a team. A playful, young Pokemon, he often comes of as very brave and adventurous, not wanting to back down from a fight. His attacks are not very strong yet, however. Access Code: ifollowdarules
Pokemon CS:
Name: Shimmer Gender: Female Species: Pidove Level: 12 Moves: Only Gust and Quick Attack, at the moment. Bio: She didn't have parents when Featherweight found her. She is a bit quiet, but is actually not a bad fighter. She'll come off as timid and easily scared around strangers, and in truth, she is. Her feathers shimmer in the sunlight. Access Code: ifollowdarules |

I agree that it is in fact an interesting idea, but, I have one thing.
I don't like playing humans, I like playing wild Pokemon. Which due to my brief plot skim seem to not exist.
and the level thing, that bugs me. I think it should be okay if your level was relevant to age or bio, but meh.

(Awesome
You need the species, level, move set, name, a very short bio, and the access code.
You're not allowed to start with a Pokemon over level 15 since you're just starting out.
To be totally honest though, I kind of wish there was a place in the CS to put personality and appearance. A fairly minor nitpick, but still.) |

The field is just outside of the starting village, and has a big ring of Light Crystal Torches surrounding it. A huge foggy forest is just beyond. There is a message board, a Mail House, and two big tables opposite of eachother. People find teammates by themselves.
The village and field is inside of a giant clearing in the huge forest.) |

Sorry, but no can do. You could be a Rogue, I guess. But you have a higher chance of dying due to running out of Light Crystals...
I guess Ruby could be a Rogue too.
Just make sure your current situation is plausible. You could be holding out in a cave or something, I dunno.) |

Alright.
@Awesome
Technically you can be. It's actually Mystery Dungeon based, only kind of in a post-apocalyptic scenario where there are mutations and humans actually don't rank above or below Pokemon, and they can collect cross-communication devices.
The Light Crystals basically power and light everything, even communication devices and lanterns. They're necessary to see and keep warm. Think of them as condensed, transportable fires.
The Light Crystals and how the world really got like that are mysteries, I imagine the admin will reveal it later once the other RPers start catching on.
That's the summary basically.) |

| (I'm pretty sure 50 years of this settlement and Light Crystal thing wouldn't leave any wild Pokemon. Rogues who travel on their own collecting Light Crystals along the way is more plausible.) |
