It draws closer, fangs, claws, tendrils like razorblade, a horrific monster. It's after you. You run, and run, but it's always closer. It leaps, you feel the stings as the tendrils sink into your flesh, feel the claws digging into your chest and stomach, and its fangs about to close on your throat....

You wake up. Just a dream, nothing more. You shake your head to clear the fog, and it helps somewhat. You've been having dreams similar to this one for the past week, a little while after you escaped.

Earth is no more. In its place is a mass of rock. No water, hardly any atmosphere, approximately 97% carbon dioxide, 2.5% nitrogen, 0.5% oxygen. No plants to replace the oxygen. Just a bare, lifeless rock. And humans created it. We fled, to Mars, to Venus, to Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. On Mars we made cities, on Venus we made giant domes, around the gas giants we made orbiting stations.

And then came the Scientific Ordinis Collectivum, which sounds humble, but they created monsters straight from our worst nightmares. No-one can tell if those things are reptilian, insectile, mammal, birdlike, fishlike, or something else entirely, or even a mix of all of those. But it didn't matter, none of our wonder mattered to us. The creatures were sentient, and consumed knowledge as fast as they could. Sometimes literally, one of them would tear into a book and begin crunching. We have no idea if they can speak, but they can certainly hear us.

The Scientific Ordinis Collectivum, their own creators, were killed off first. The monsters learned how to fly our ships, the ones who could learned to use our weapons, and the rest just used their own teeth, claws, flesh-spikes, and whatever other instruments they had. The creatures destroyed most of the stations orbiting the gas giants, invaded the cities of Mars, and some adapted the ability to breath the toxic air of Venus, and then destroyed us there. Time and time again we have been defeated, and now humanities last hope is the station Aeternitas, orbiting Neptune.

The station Aeternitas was equipped with shielding installations which would take years for the captured ships to penetrate, and giant simulated environments to fight on any terrain we wished. However, it too fell. The controls for the simulated environments have been destroyed, and all the soldiers and staff killed off. Except for you, the last survivor of the slaughter. The only thing that's kept you alive so far is the simple hugeness of the station, always on the run. Then you found a cache of supplies and a retractable module on the station, which could be controlled from the inside. It is time to begin the guerrilla war.

~Rules~

This is a IRSP, so there aren't many rules. But just because it isn't in the rules doesn't mean it's allowed!

First off, the regular roleplay and roblox rules.

Second of all, you are, at least biologically, much weaker than the creatures you will be facing. It is expected that you will die, so you may choose to restart at the last time you were in your hideout.

Third, not all the creatures are evil and bloodthirsty. As said in the introduction, most of them are intelligent and can hear what you say. While most cannot speak, if you have some skill with persuasion you could get them to not attack your or in rare cases even help you.

~Notes~ [I advise you to read these if you are considering making a CS, these notes have information that may help you understand everything better.]

This is part sci-fi, part horror, and part mystery, though not quite as much mystery, or even none if you don't want it. For increased fun, imagine what the creature would look like in reality, you can tell me to give you much more detailed appearances. If ye so want, I'll even give you a description of the inside of the stomach of anything that may eat your character whole and alive.

There are supplies all over the station, and you have a limited amount of food, water, and energy for some weapons. Therefore you will occasionally be forced to go on scavenging trips, and you will get weaker over time if you begin starving or dehydrating. Ye can tell me in Other if you want Free roam or Survival mode, because in Free-roam you don't need to go get food and water as much. The default is Survival.

I just want to make this clear, *none* of these creatures are like the SCP whatevers. They have no special powers, cannot teleport around, they just have their brains and whatever biological enhancements they have. So while some may be able to move almost as fast as you can blink, they cannot teleport or become invisible or do anything else of the like. If this is similar to any other sci-fi-horrors (such as dead-space, even though I have no idea what that is) forgive me, because all of this came straight out of my imagination and I have never played any sci-fi horror games, and I just don't watch horror movies.

This is the far future, say 7461. Technology has advanced quite a bit in five and almost-a-half millenia. Think blades of pure energy that can extend out from ones forearm. Think metal spikes harder than tungsten being manufactured by nanobots and shooting out of ones body at extreme velocities. That kind of stuff.

Every character has a security card that can be used to access certain areas of the station that you couldn't get into without that card. But cards can only go so high in clearance, there are some areas where you can't access no matter how high of a clearance you have to start with.

Be sure to say what your job was before the station was attacked in your bio! You could be a soldier, or a worker for something on the station, the only thing I'm not allowing you to be is 1: God; 2: The captain; and 3: High level officer/station controller.

The station is divided into 26 main sections, labeled with a letter and a number. A1 is the northwest point of the station, B1 is the northeast point of the station, C1 is the southeast part, and D1 is the southwest point. E1 is the very center of the station, and therefore none of the E sections are available as the hideout area. X1 is the bridge, and the control room. However, you can't access it without special tools or finding some corpse which has the proper clearance card.

We're sorry, but creator Imagination has made no connection to {UNKNOWNOBJECT} The Parasite.

Wait, 95% carbon dioxide? Without some stupid freak natural disaster that would have to take Millions of years, that would be impossible. Also, Venus? Yeah, our sister planet?

Its atmosphere is almost entirely made of poisons and acids that could easily destroy the domes.

Also, did I mention the surface is around 395* most of the time?

That's Celsius. And it's almost four times the boiling point of water on Earth. However, on Venus, it's higher because of the massive amount of pressure in the atmosphere.

The only thing to land on Venus was mad of pure titanium in a crystal-like molecular structure. It was completely crushed and then corroded away.

Also, the "Scientific Ordinis Collectivum"? Are they some sort of science group? how were they able to make these abominations without getting shut down? How are they able to evolve technologically and in sophistication so quickly, quickly enough to read English and fly starships?

Okay lien, if you want some answers, take these:

Say we destroyed most of the atmosphere of Earth. Say we stayed on Earth until we destroyed all the plants to make room for houses. Say we only left when it was clear that Earth was destroyed.

As for Venus, what do you imagine man-made metals to be like five and almost-a-half millenia in the future? Lets see, I'll look up the chart of the elements... Aha! Tungsten: Resistant to corrosion; still strong at 1650 Celsius, resistant to heat and wear. I think a giant dome made of Tungsten would survive on Venus fine.

And finally looking at Scientific Ordinis Collectivum... ever heard of privately funded and operated groups? Gene splicing? Zerg? I think that I've made my point. And maybe those people didn't make the monsters, the monsters made themselves with what they had. Perhaps those things they made were meant to be soldiers. Could you imagine any enemy wanting to fight those things?

If you wanted somewhat logical answers, there you are. But really lien, if you can't accept that not all roleplaying has to make sense in logic, then please go somewhere else. I am a person of logic, and I can accept that not all things have to make sense.

It's Sci-Fi.

It's supposed to take actual science fact and make fiction.

I think you have your idea about the science fiction genre messed up. Here, let me look it up: "imagined innovations in science or technology, often in a futuristic setting." *cough cough* you were saying?

The only essential part of the introduction is the last paragraph, the other stuff is mostly backstory.

It's the ellipsis man.

They off-put a lot of people.
I mean the title is off-putting. THE TITLE IS EVERYTHIIIING.
Well, not everything, but you know what I mean.
