I see there is rocky terrain made out of wedges or corners, but could anyone help on how to do that?

Terrain made of triangles, or "Triangle Terrain," is usually created with CFraming plugins like. There are also dedicated tools like Tri-Fusia.
Here is a very good CFraming Plugin: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/User:Anaminus/CmdUtl
And here is Tri-Fusia although there is a later version out than this: http://www.roblox.com/Tri-Fusia-V1-1-0-BETTER-THAN-TRIANGLE-STUDIO-item?id=126576415 |

Yes the 2.0 version of trifusia has makenodes option, and does squares as well as triangles. The makenodes option is easy, click a part and press makenodes and they will show up on all corners of the part. Keep parts at 0.2 for best results.

Most of those real nice terrains are made of CFramed squares. Painstakingly placed and angled to precision. Even with this tool it is hard to compare to the CFramed terrain. But it does a well enough job for most. And it is way faster than trying to CFrame everything. |

"with CFraming plugins like."
Totally messed that up. I meant to remove that "like." |
