| Why WERE there taxes in the first place? Taxes just waste money. I Pay full price for something, sell it, and what happens? I get no money barely whatsoever. It's useless. |

If you get revenue for an item, you get 70% of the item's income. Which is above half and just under three quarters.
Also, the official reasoning is to prevent inflation and to stimulate a more realistic economy.
And WNTS. ¬_¬ |

| @frozen, how is it WNTS? Also, How is ROBLOX trying to be realistic like our economy? Last I checked. ROBLOX is about imagination. |

@Forign: Two quotes.
As for the WNTS: "• CANCEL THE WHOLE THING. (IE, undo a massive update, remove huge features, etc.)" This is undoing a massive update. Oh, it's not massive? Please explain why so many people hate it then and why I see it so much on S&I then.
As for the realism: I'll need some time on that one. I know the quote exists somewhere, I'll just find it.

| @br0b, This wouldn't cause inflation. KEEPING taxes would cause inflation, depending on how much money they want. Plus, why does inflation matter? ANSWER THAT! |

@For, They've already answered that. By removing taxes no currency is being removed from the system, which would lead to them being more abundant. Decreasing the overall value of both currencies, when this occurs, items would have to be priced quite high in order to have a satisfactory return for the product. They are not going to remove taxes as it does indeed stimulate a real economy, and it allows for ROBLOX to remove currency from circulation, which keeps the value of both currencies at a semi fixed value. |

Found it:
http://www.roblox.com/Parents/RobloxAndLearning.aspx Okay, yes, it doesn't say specifically that "taxes are for education" but with a little deduction, You can find out that roblox is educational, hands down.
The economy is very realistic IS a learning experience, so that's why it's like that. Trade currency is like currency exchange- from euros to dollars or something like that. It has an exchange rate that changes very much alike to euros and dollars. Limiteds are like commodities- The more people want an item, the more you can sell it for, just like in real life. It's all about bargains. And, taxes are roblox's version of market fees. The goverment of most modern countries take a little bit of money off of all purchases- England does VAT, where people have to pay 20% extra on certain items. This 20% goes directly to the goverment. Note that 20% is also rather close to 30%.
