In plenty of games I've played, there have been many people speaking various languages.
Japanese, Russian, Spanish, German, etc.
Why not an In-game translator that changes the words into English, or whatever language you speak?

| You're right, but at least we can understand some of what they're saying. |

What if I want to say something so you don't understand it? What if people say it on purpose. What if it's a club? xD

The Translator, I would assume....
Person types German: wie geht es dir (Appear as on their screen) ------------- (Your screen) English: How are you? |

@Br0b, it would obviously block out bad words. The filter system would just be universal.

Well, considering I don't know the Arabic language..
Roblox wouldn't type that all himself. It would be a system similar to Google translate for instance. |

That's a fair point, Br0b.
However, there are plenty of translators out there, and some are pretty accurate.
I'm sure that Roblox would link up to multiple translators so that the word would be calculated by all those translators to find the correct word spoken by that language. |

I just don't understand what makes you keep bringing up people swearing in Arabic. I've never even seen people try and swear in spanish. Roblox, In-World is the most friendly place for Spanish. Point: If I've never seen anyone swear in spanish, I doubt anyone would swear in Arabic. That's not to ay that couldn't happen.. but.. In my eyes.. (Highly unlikely) |

Straight from G.T: Hallo Freund, mein Name ist John <(Not my real name) That's some pretty good German as far as I'm concerned. |

| "Quid hoc transferendis" means "Why are you translating this." Using google translate, when I translate it back to English, this is what I get: "How is that translating". No joke. I would support, but the translating system would be a pain. |

Hey there, 'Re: In-game translator' is not allowed on ROBLOX. I'll let this one slide for now but please inform yourself with the rules and regulations of roblox http://www.roblox.com/info/terms-of-service - Bob. |

They speak in other languages because they want PRIVACY. Or they want to swear in another language since they can't in english without getting moderated (sometimes swearing doesn't get them moderated).
