Well, I do have an idea as to what OULD be causing the rapid deterioration.
I have a growth, and it's been causing me a lot of pain. They only ways to remove it are a very risky surgery or amputation of my leg.
There is a 1 in 3 chance of it being cancer.
I'm worried, my doctor is worried and my family is worried.
Anyways, thanks for the support. I love you all. I'll keep you informed.
Logging off now, cya tomorrow I hope. |

I wish getting rid of my illness was as easy as amputation, really.
Mine is caused by my immune system causing deterioration in my spinal cord.
So, yeah. |

Typically, steroids are used.
However, because of my schizophrenia, and a fear of inducing steroidal psychosis, they can't use them.
Otherwise, the only "treatment" is 6-18 months of heavy IV through a machine.
I say "treatment" in quotations because the damage to my ANS is irreversible. The only thing we can do it slow it down.
It's a similar condition to Parkinson's, except faster progressing.
I went from just painful to tremors to vomiting to unable to close my own mouth in about 2 weeks. |

| There is the chance (unfortunately, quite a large one) that my condition will develop into a type of MSA-P, which is incurable, not treatable, one of the fastest progressing neurodegenerative disorders, and essentially 100% lethal. |

Insurance refuses to pay for ALL of it. However, they do cover most.
Unfortunately, the medicine I take is NOT covered.
I don't know the prices, but I take:
Lyrica Cymbalta (you may have heard of those two, they're quite famous) Abilify (same here) Zofran, as needed (nausea medicine, it's expensive but magical) |

@catucus
It's fairly unnecessary.
With some budget cuts, my family does make enough to go through.
Unless this gets seriously worse extremely quickly, I'll be fine. |
