You can get my plugin located at:(note its an executable... read the script for instructions) http://www.roblox.com/item.aspx?id=126576415
This is for advanced builders ONLY... I don't recommend newbies try using this plugin.
This plugin can be used to make maps that are more realistic(similar to maps found in other games like WoW or Runescape).
It uses nodes to create a map. Meaning you place 3 1x1x1 parts. Select them and press triangle and it makes a triangle that touches all parts. Then you add another part and join it to that triangle and so on and so on til you have a fully created map out of triangles. This creates a non-blocky terrain and if done right you can have a pretty awesome looking map... You can see an example at my place located at:
http://www.roblox.com/Testing-Place-place?id=126156474
This is just a quickly made terrain - probably 5-6 minutes time this was done... it takes a little more time to do this than regular building but the outcome is nicer looking. |

That is truly awesome.
Definitely going to be using this in the future. |

This works similar to blobbyblobs triang generator. I like the use of parts instead of points, because you can position a part using it's properties. Whereas blobbyblob's points can only be positioned by sight.
I like this plugin. It is simple to use, and works great. Good job.
Helpful hint- Turn off collisioncheck, so you can position the points close enough to existing triangles using the moveonaxis tool. The smoothness of this is beautiful, only needing to move one point at a time to create a new triangle.

| Great plugin! I don't know what I'll use this for, but I'm sure I'll find something. |

| scac what I do is place 3 parts, create a triangle, then copy an paste a new part and place it somewhere else. This gives perfect alignment because you don't have to reposition a part at another triangle... it is already there. |

@MrAssist.... this isn't exactly a plugin it is a executable...
place it in workspace then run in command bar... As the script says if you open it...
loadstring(workspace["Tri-Fusia"].Source)(); |

| Well I uploaded it as a plugin anyways. It's easier for me that way. |

What I meant was when trying to place a triangle against an existing part like a brick. I know you can leave the points and use them again for perfection.
Check out my Build/script challenge game. I used your tool on part of the hill the big tree is on. There is a gap between the existing platform and the triangles. It's an easy fix. I can group all the triangles and points Then move the model closer to the hill.
I also renamed all my points fusiaos so I can easily remove them when complete. |

I sort of did what Scacman did. I have a grid of parts (I named Nodes for the same reason) so I can very easily make a layout.
I haven't tried a 3D grid yet though. That'd be cool once I do. |

Version 2.0.0 is released! http://www.roblox.com/item.aspx?id=126701952
Features: + Gui Modified - New buttons - Draggable
+ Split -Splits one triangle into two more triangles(select a single triangle)
+ MakeNode - Select a single triangle or a DoubleTriangle(model) and press MakeNode and it will set 1x1x1 symmetric parts at the exact point of the triangles tips.
I hope you enjoy version 2.0.0 guys! |

| You could easily make a function to get all 6 vertices of a brick and place a 1x1x1 part on the vertices exact position. That would be an easy fix :) |

| I might make the MakeNodes funtion place nodes on square bricks as well. Would that you help you? |

I played around with v2 and this is what I got.
http://www.roblox.com/FusiaOS-Test-item?id=126706101
I couldn't figure out the Makenodes button.
The split button doesn't line up the two triangles properly.
And the maketriangle seems to be off as well.
As you can see the thickness has an effect on how they line up on edges. This could be looked at.
Still, I think this is a great tool. Well done. |

| MakeTriangle works fine for me. I will make a video for how to use it properly soon. |

| 0.2 is recommended width otherwise they don't line up perfectly because they are more 3d triangles which makes it impossible to match all edges. |

Version 2.0.2 - Now users can use MakeNodes on squares and cubes. No more cframing a triangle to fit to your map. Just make nodes on part of map that you want to connect to other part.

I'm not grasping the makenodes part. You mentioned something about a video. Do you have a link to that?
I like the introduction of squares. Is there a way to make it any shape, say you put four nodes in a diamond like position. Or a house shaped polygon with 5 nodes. |

p1-------------p2 |==========| |==========| p3-------------p4
As long as distance from p1 to p2 is same as p3-p4 and p1-p3 is same as p4-p2 then it can be made... In other words as long as it is a rectangle or square yes it can be done. And since a diamond is a rotated square yes it can be done.
Video? Haven't done it yet. |

| So to make nodes you click a surface, makenodes and it creates the nodes. It wasn't working for me but I'll try the newest update. |

I opened my game, turned on trifusiav2, and cmdutlv3. Worked on a few things, the makenodes worked for me, I turned off cmdutl, and minimized triafusia, then tried to do more, so I brought up trifusia and the make nodes didn't work. I can't tell whether it's cmdutl crashing it or the minimize of trifusia, or it could be the autosave doing it. But the makenodes is breaking on me. |

| Hmm... I will look into it... I will see if minimizing it affects anything... Post back in a few seconds. |
