You wake up on March 24th, in an old log cabin located near a rain marsh. You're several miles away from Burmatcher city, which has been overrun with CHV individuals. You escaped here, but without any supplies.
The cabin didn't hold much, either.

CS
Name:Max Fink
/-\ge: [18+] 36
Appearance: Medium length, curly hazel brown hair and regular brown eyes. Of an average height, but still a semi-frail body disposition. Little muscular build can be found on his body, but his profession has left him with disproportionally strong arms to other limbs.
Personality: Erratic depending on situation. Easily grouchy when things don’t go his way and immature. Sways with the wind.
Bio: Once a happy family man until neglecting the wants out of an almost pathological need to shirk responsibility, ending up in a messy divorce, forcing him to become even more reclusive. Rather smart, but not in diffusing or simulating situations. Can be both impulsive, yet also forward thinking. Tends to shut other ideas and people out and can become fixated on certain tasks.
Previous Occupation: Civil engineer (home systems design)
Province: Chancloton
Perks: Moonwalker Quickfingers Tinker, Tailor

The phone has no reception. You're rather far into the woods right now. The electricity lines may have also been damaged during the outbreak in the city. |

| I run through what all of my available assets are in my head, including transportations, any conceivable improvised melee weapon that can be scrounged up and maps. |

This old, broken-down cabin lacks any sort of supply other than scrap wood. There may be heavy sticks outside laying on the ground that you could use as an improvized bludgeon, however. |

| Find a decent size stick and move on out of the marsh, without heading towards the city. |

You'll need to either travel off into the forest to the northwest--your northwest--, or go straight ahead and cross the marsh to leave the cabin's premises. You could also walk back to the road and continue to follow it. |

| Go back to the road and follow it. I don't think the infection would have moved out too much to the rural areas yet, but I definitely wouldn't want to get caught in a bog. I fancy my chances of outrunning one of these things, if it comes down to it, but I'm still deeply worried for my family. Well... my two kids, Brian (9yo male) and Anna (5yo girl), not so much my ex-wife... Kathy. |

You didn't see much while you were getting out of Burmatcher. You saw someone who resembled an infectee briefly, and he was running.
You make it to the road. There's quite a few car crash sites and a few rotting bodies on the side of the road. There's also a double-stilted sign that has been knocked down into the ditch. |

| One of these cars is bound to have its keys in and still work, best to search through a couple of trunks though. These people must've took a few supplies with them while they were getting out of Burmatcher. I, however, remind myself to be wary. The people in these crashes may not be very happy. |

You find several tins of sardines in the trunk of one car. A sleeping bag, too. You search another trunk and find a 9mm Mongraf Welton pistol. It has a full clip of eight shots, with no extra ammo. Also in the trunk is a suitcase and handbag. |

Putting pride aside, Max realises that the suitcase could weigh him down too much and empties the handbag. I stuff the sleeping back in the bottom, and put the sardines towards the top while buckling the pistol in the back of my best.
I carry on, looking in cars and keeping my eyes open for supplies. |

You dump out the contents. Nail polish. Different skin creams. A broken cell phone. The handbag cannot fit the entire sleeping bag, but you can still carry the sardines. |

| The sleeping bag is too much of a find to miss. I wrap it round myself in a coil and tie it in a belt knot. I then proceed to carry on with aforementioned actions. |

You find some passports and insurance documentation in one car, along with a wallet containing one hundred dollars. |

| Ignore the documentations, but the wallet may be useful in the future, even if it just for jury rigging something or providing a leather handle. Carry on. |

You stop. Four infectees have began to shamble towards you from all sides, moving in between vehicles. |

| Continue running across the road while gripping the stick in both hands. As soon as any get close, thwack them away with the stick. If the stick is gripped, simply drop it and start shooting. Romero horror dictates I shoot for the head. Let's hope that works. |

You knock down two, then another grabs the piece of timber with both hands. You let go, and produce your pistol. You fire one shot, and hit the infectee in the shoulder. He is seemingly unhindered, and advances on you. |

Time to run hard and fast. That pistol shot probably got a lot more attention than that of the shambling folks advancing on me. I liked that stick.
If possible, run around to leave the timber exposed, pick it up and run in a circle again while dashing forward along the road away from the shambling attackers. |
