I was thinking about a way to up the security of ROBLOX and I came up with this (it might be a flop though just hear me out). What if ROBLOX created a way for your behavior to be tracked by your IP address, not just your account?
If they did this, then they could detect disturbances not just from your account, but from your computer as well.
Your account is something you own that can be easily replaced.
Your IP address is a different story. It basically represents you.
Now of course this would definitely be a last resort, since with all the people who break the rules there would be a lot of IP Addresses banned if it was one of the first lines of action.
If you break the ROBLOX rules it would also punish your IP address as well as your account. For example:
1 Account Permanently Banned w/ no chance of Appeal (Your account is not unbanned within x amount of time because you didn't appeal or your appeals were rejected) = 1 Warning To Your Currently Used IP Address
2 Accounts Permanently Banned w/no chance of Appeal = IP Address Banned From Accessing ROBLOX site for x amount of time (ROBLOX uninstalls on your computer and you cannot access the ROBLOX website from that IP address while banned)
3 Accounts Permanently Banned w/no chance of Appeal = IP Address is Permanently Banned
Of course there are workarounds such as using a different computer or playing on your phone, but imagine the weight of the consequence as a whole. It would discourage purposeful violation of ROBLOX conduct on a huge scale if they knew they might never be able to play ROBLOX again.
IP Address bans can be appealed just like regular bans (even IP Address permabans), so IP Address banned users would still be able to get to appeals@roblox.com or call the ROBLOX phone number to appeal.
Even though some really good proxies can hide or change your IP Address, what are the chances that the kids who purposely break ROBLOX users have access to that sort of thing (which are mostly hackers, exploiters, and scammers)? And it's a long process anyways.
Even them knowing this was possible would scare them straight.
I also realize that this would take a while to add, but it is possible because some sites already use your IP Address (For example: Survey sites that only allow your IP Address to fill out the same survey a certain amount of times).
Also take into consideration that this would not take affect with reports, just permanent bans. So being reported any amount of times or even banned any amount of times will not make this take affect. Just permanent bans that aren't appealed in x amount of time OR permanent bans that are appealed x amount of times but are rejected.
Basically I'm reassuring you that even if this system were to be added as long as you abide by the ROBLOX rules to some extent this will not hurt you. Only the users that massively offend ROBLOX Terms and Conditions should worry about this (people who troll and spam on a small scale won't be affected).
Thank you for reading and not "tl;dr ing!" Support would be nice.

| Just.... No. It would cause too many problems, people would just spam Ban Appeals for no reason. |

| No... Roblox doing that would be invaded users privacy. Why would roblox ban someone for what they look up? As long as they don't do bad on Roblox, then leave well enough alone. |

o:
Not sure how I feel about that.
Ermmmm... I guess you mean the people who hack ROBLOX, scam players to take their accounts, etc. Still not to sure...
I give 25% support because it would stop people like the ones I said above for the most part but the reason I don't fully is because it's kind of invading privacy (even though I know they can't track your exact location) and it would be overkill if like a regular user gets IP Banend (even if you did say it isn't likely). |

Yeah lol I knew you guys would say something similar to this.
I was just pondering how to up ROBLOX security as I said before and came up with this idea.
I'm not mad it flopped just wanted to put it out there and see what you guys thought :) No harm done.

I may not speak for all of us but I don't think we thought it was a bad idea just too many issues like I said before if regular users who get permanently banned 3 times and don't appeal have this happen to them there would be appeal spams and no one would really get un IP banned because they would give up too soon.
Plus, don't you think it's overkill (I know you said it targets the hackers and people who take other people's accounts like scammers but still)?
Like I said before it would up security a lot, but it is an invasion of privacy and would be too much. |

I don't have much history... 25 support there. Moving on to other people, what about privacy? This might catch ##########. But privacy. Minus 5 support there. 20 support. |

"Your IP address is a different story. It basically represents you"
Actually it represents all the idiots who live in my house who would get me IP banned in 5 seconds

| an IP address represents your internet router, my IP address represents my BT Homehub. I don't want my bro getting me permed in 5 seconds. Also roblox can't be uninstalled from your computer by roblox corp. That violates privacy laws. |
