Win XP is gonna stop being supported by Microsoft in April 2014. No more security updates. Best to update sooner than later anyway.

You get used to it. There are a few registry hacks to get rid of Libraries, which were my only gripes, but it's all good for me now.

In windows 8.1, you can choose to have a start icon instead of using the corner for the start screen. Which is good for me because I have my task bar on the left of my screen, and to show the desktop I have to go to the bottom left corner and I would almost always hit the start screen button instead if there wasn't that option.

Same for my schools. Still using XP. Like, seriously, I hope they get hit with a virus after April 2014 that damages the system greatly so they can't recover and have to get something newer.

Wat. My school system got XP a few years after it came out or so, but it's been over a decade. And and upgrade is overdue.

I don't really want to count it if it's the free version that comes with Win 7 Pro/Ultimate.
