By consoles, I am talking about any handheld or home console. I've heard from VGF that you can get $500 PCs. And Also PC games are cheap.
But
There some disadvantages.
-PCs require a monitor. You could hook it up to a TV, but I'm pretty sure you would use a monitor. -They also require extra accessories like a mouse and keyboard. You know those are essential, unless you have a laptop. But laptops are slow compared to a desktop. -Even though Disks for gaming are easy to find, I've heard a lot of people use steam. Your games are digital and equal no resale value. Also disks can break (that goes the same for most consoles) -PCs can play and even emulate most games, but there are extra features on consoles that are small, but make the biggest difference. -No matter what you think now, you will probably buy a new PC later, either due to peer pressure or just the lack of being up to date with modern technology. (Also, same goes to consoles)
TL;DR: This a summary of minor drawbacks of PCs
