| The sun doesn't give off that much blue light. Our sun mostly gives off white light. So on a color spectrum, blue is in the middle while violet and red are beside of blue (violet-blue-red.) So techincally, our sky is actually purple, but more on the bluish part. |

I wasn't taught this in school yet for some stupid reason, but I always thought it was the different chemicals in the atmosphere + light that formed the color.
Then again, I probably play to much Spore.
