| All the new places I make turn certain areas very, very dark when I try to make buildings. When I go inside a regular building it is pitch black. When I turn off globalshadows in lighting, this does not happen, but it is still overall very dark. How do I have normal lighting?? I don't want any shadows and I want the light levels to be regular. Please help me... |

Click on Ambient lighting (which controls indoor/cave lighting) and change the greyscale lighter to increase interior light. Ambient Outdoor lighting changes the amount of light in your outdoor areas. Time of Day changes the sky appearance and the appearance of skylight.
All of this information is available in the Blog article about Ambient lighting 2 months ago. |

| It doesn't explain how to turn off dynamic lighting in a place though! I want it off because when global shadows is off, everything is still really dark and its annoying. I just want to have no dynamic lighting at all in my place, how do I do that? :( |

It seems that they have added Dynamic Lighting in all new places.
Click on Lighting, then Ambient lighting in the Properties window. The greyscale on the right of the popup will change the amount of light in your level. Try it out, experiment, and then come back if you are still having issues. |

| If you make Ambient and Ambient Outdoor the same then there will be no change from 'inside' to 'outside'. |

| I have every darkness setting at gray, so the lighting is pre-lighting default, but it is still a little darker than usual inside buildings. :( |

Wait, nevermind, I know why. It's the global shadows -- I didn't turn that off.
Everything seems to be fine with grey scale for now, so thanks. :) |

| Look in the properties box, and there should be a small white box next to "globalshadows" |

| I was just like this. First, I went into Explorer (Found in View), found 'Lighting', and opened Properties (Also in View), and clicked 'Lighting' and changed 'Ambient' and changed the numbers to 0,40,0 and the color of the light to white, and it helped alot. **Note: Have to be on Edit i dont know if it will work on build.** |
