| My school taught Java. If you end up being great at it, or better than the rest of the class, switch to AP Computer Science for your second semester (if they offer that class). Though, it really isn't a hard class, sadly. |

| Depends on the school. A lot of the time, first year teaches either Python or VB. |

| My school taught me QBasic. -.- It was a very boring class considering I already know like 13 computer languages. |

My school teaches C++.
Just the basics. I'm pretty sure they don't go into OOP.
Also, next year, I heard that the plan is to have us learn a language independently, which is actually a very good idea. I believe it's C#.
I like my teacher, he's awesome. Sort of a joker, really nice guy.
He said that base conversions weren't part of the curriculum anymore, but he made sure it was the first unit.
He's sort of a hero to me. |

| Being worse than booing isn't a bad thing, being worse than me is what I'd assume to be average. |

my college's (which is the british term for the optional educational establishment primarily for 16-18s) computer science course is all in VB :'(
hopefully if they have visual studio running it will work with C# and they'll let me use that which would be a bit more bearable |

We can't ask for personal information, nor do we really care enough to, but it just depends on where you live, my friend.
Most likely one of these though: VB, Java, or Python. |
