yeah i'm trying to stick with nvidia because i'm a technical scrub and i don't know if a motherboard replacement is needed for amd cards that and the fact that i've had nvidia for a while and they're great i'm considering gtx660 because of its price and, from what i know, it's used in many semi-pro gaming computers

people here will give you trash unless you choose a expensive high end card / the one that they have
610 is a grand card for computers that are a bit dated because if its power supply is okay you can just throw it in
if you are making a complete build it is a bad decision unless you are buying really really low power cards and want to keep it cheap, but at that point it wouldn't be really good for a solid gaming fun times in this age.
7750 is like 30-45 dollars more and offers more power, for about 10-15 dollars more than that you can get a 7770 which can take plenty games today at either high settings medium resolution or higher resolutions and medium / low settings, |

I can't really tell to be honest I'm using NVIDIA GeForce 9200 Integrated (which, you guessed it, is probably integrated into an AMD Athlon II X4 CPU (apparantly))

joan this system runs completely fine but does tend to lag when playing much more modern games i was thinking gtx660 would fix that problem and then some
games that usually are handicapped by the 610 as of now are -dota 2 -saint's row 3 -torchlight 2 by a bit -borderlands 2 (even with ini tweaks the game lags when the gunfire peaks)

allalalaal amd cards run similarly and are much cheaper in a lot of cases
intel cpus demolish amd tho in certain processer dependant tasks (aka gw2) but if you are willing to overclock your amd cpu it is bretty easy to make it stand up to intel |

once again
you will find similar performance with a 7870 or 7850 for a lot less dollars than a 660
make sure your mother board has an AM3+ socket type |
