then why do they have the most attention of everyone in the school
i remember in elementary school they would be in my class and the teachers would always put them in the front of the class, and i couldn't concentrate because they were always crying or making some kind of noise. not that you actually learn anything in elementary school, but still. and at the end of the year in 5th grade my teachers put together a slideshow of everything we did in the year and, i'm not even exaggerating this, they were in at least 95% of the pictures. i was in maybe 15 but that's because the teachers liked me and i was really popular in elementary school but then i moved and now i have no friends BUT ANYWAYS i have nothing against mentally handicapped. or physically handicapped (you know what i want to say rrrrrrrrr) but treating them like they are the center of everyone's attention is not "equally"

i'm probably going to have like 20 people nag me for this.

and no one would even move them when they made the noises, they'd just "shh" them, which made even more noise.
and in middle school it's a little better. they aren't in your classes, but they still participate in every event the school does. and our school plays a slideshow throughout the day of like information and pictures and guess who is in most of them?
the rrrrrrrs

i understand they need a caretaker, not the everyone on the planet can take care of them and make them feel special.

i dont think it's 'making them feel special' more like

trying to have a decent environment to grow up with, especially with their troubles?

but yeah i agree that giving people too much attention and shoving if down everyone else's throats can be overbearing

"trying to have a decent environment to grow up with, especially with their troubles?"

that's what i'm trying to say. they should just make their childhood as normal as everyone elses, if that is what they want. they want to be treated NORMALLY, not like they are famous or something.

i'd also understand if they had like something that was going to kill them soon. i know there are somethings where you die by like age 15.

1. They have to hear everything better so that's why they are in the front rows. They get distracted easily (I have a 15 almost 16 year old autistic brother)

2. They do not always get treated better, in my school there's one ADHD kid and he is always put in the back and hollered at because he does some pretty random stuff. (I go to a private school 10 kids in my class)

3. They feel like they're not good enough (kind of getting off topic) because they're not the same.

4. They could be being bullied and teachers want a better view of what's going on around them.

My brother's ROBLOX is Bergan, send him a friend request. He likes scripting and MLP and Pizza.

Hope I helped you.

This is quite possibly one of the only OT threads in which I've seen people agreeing, and having a normal conversation.

1. they aren't even paying attention. all they did was cry and make noises.

2. you're school isn't my school. they do at mine. and they rarely took them out of the room to calm them down. also ADHD is not special needs.

3. that's what i'm trying yo say. if they want to be treated like everyone else, they should be treated like
everyone
else
not everyone else is the center of attention 24/7

4. at my school there is a teacher by their side at all times. and we also have a special needs bus

i normally don't make rant threads unless i think people are going to agree, to avoid people hating me.
