You know, we blindly put a lot of time and effort into this game, who to says it's not closing down in a month. So if Roblox closes down, I hope they at least reveal their source code and give people the option to download their account off of Roblox's database.
Though in all actuality they probably will just sell this to some company that will hold it for like 20 years and by then there will probably be something else out that is better.
Or maybe, as a last update; Roblox could allow proper off server connections (SEE RESBLOX, pRIBLOX) This could really breathe new life in to the game and for Roblox they would only have to host a database server for accounts, or they could just give the code out for that.
Though, if you think about it; Roblox owes nothing to us and when serving us is no longer profitable in reality it's highly unlikely Roblox will give out it's engine for free and or even modify it so suite us. This was just some pipe dream Idea I crapped out early this morning. |

| Lack of staff is not the point, what I am talking about it is when Roblox stops reaping in the money to run their servers and pay their employees. |

| They won't close down for ages. Don't suggest something if it's not going to happen until 50 years later. |

I'm pretty sure the ending is near.
However, I don't see why anyone would want the source code for this horrible little game. Mostly since the source code isn't all that big, since we have to do most of the non-physics stuff.

You really think Roblox is going to last THAT long? Roblox is successful and all, but come on, MMO's don't last that long and let me ask you, do any of you play Star Craft, Kicks Online, Half Life: Death match or even CS 1.6? Many of you maybe played what, one of those games? Even though they were super popular like 5 years ago.
Now, a lot of those games were super popular, but now there are just a few people playing them and if it weren't for the fact most of them were on steam and also allowed for external hosting they would've shriveled and died. |

@pugzy, you're completely wrong in every way.
Roblox has enough money for more Bloxcons. Roblox has over 1 million players. Also why are you suggesting to have them release the source code if you don't want it. How do you know how big the source code is? Did you program roblox? No you didn't.
Starting a siggy are we? It does make me think you are another racist American. *sigh*
I'm not being racist.
You speak English perfectly fine. You have a siggy about slaves. You said a man choose not one chooses.

Roblox is like earth. And its sun is well. The company Roblox. Roblox could survive with the company if they do that was said in the first part. Or this lonely planet could get pulled into orbit with another star(Company) To bring new life. Or it could die.

| No one knows the financial state of Roblox, other than the people who work there, we don't know if they are just barely getting by or not. Even though they can host Blox Conns and all, who is to say that just renting out some museum for like what, a few hundred dollars for just a few days means they have the thousands needed to keep their servers up and running. |

Roblox will close down when all of the players leave.
This is happening at a quicker rate than it should.

If more people are joining then leaving then they are still gaining more players.

"@pugzy, you're completely wrong in every way.
Roblox has enough money for more Bloxcons."
You pay for them to hold Bloxcon, by buying their Bloxcon passes. That's why you must pay them to go to one. If they held them for free, then yes, obviously they're rolling the dough.
"Roblox has over 1 million players."
Big deal? Having 1 million players is only as good as paper as currency. Having 1 million players buying the highest BC, yeah, that's some good stuff right there. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
"Also why are you suggesting to have them release the source code if you don't want it."
I never said I wanted their source, nor did I suggest I want them to release it. If you reread the OP's post, you will see he was the one suggesting it, and I was the one saying no one wants it.
"How do you know how big the source code is? Did you program roblox? No you didn't."
Because I am a programmer, I program in C++ and Java. Though I may not know how many lines are used, I can tell you that most of them are for Lua and to put pretty graphics on the screen and make them move. Any half-twit programmer can figure that out. I can tell you that they don't use much source code, because most of their .exe, .dll, etc, files don't even make up a single megabyte. And then some of those .dlls aren't even theirs, they had to use them in order to run Roblox on player's computers.
If you really want, I could decompile it and show you roughly how many lines there are.

| Roblox will close down some day, and if so I hope they'll commit to at least some of the things I suggested. |
