Since I'm doing a rewrite, I should be able to add more features like moving the entire assembly. The idea was to have two options when you step up to the bench - edit an existing gun or build a new one. The only difference would be that editing an existing gun spawns one you have, while building a new one would give you a clean slate.
Making modules will be easy. You'll usually just take an existing one and build its new representation. The attachment points are there to define how the gun goes together. |

| I think I will. Obviously I'll keep the Starlock modules to myself, but I could get together with someone and we could build some generic guns based on real life stuff. |

I definitely do want to release it for free. I'm more interested in making Roblox more fun than I am in making fake money. I'll have a tip t-shirt set up for anyone who wants to give me money for them though.
I honestly think all forms of fighting in Roblox right now suck. Swordfighting is luck-based, the guns are just TERRIBLE. RCL is one of the worst offenders - what are those things, from 2008? Come on.
I'm not stopping the innovation at the gun customization phase. These guns will be designed to be responsive and flexible. Your character will aim where your mouse is pointing, first-person mode will be smoother and easier to control than Roblox's default, and hit registration will be done both client-side and server-side so it's fair and you see what you're supposed to see. Shooting through walls will be impossible. Animations will be easy to make using a studio plugin, and the actual animations will be very smooth.
This isn't just for little guns like rifles and pistols, either. I can easily adapt it to shotguns, rocket launchers, giant lasers, whatever you want. You'll be able to disable certain features, like part decay or firing mechanism jams/failures. The GUI for the workbench will have customizable colors and you'll be able to design your own workbench and change where the camera is or where the player stands. If you want raiders in your fort to be able to build guns on a crappy wooden table, go ahead, do it!
By releasing this, I hope to revolutionize how fighting works in Roblox by setting a golden standard. Even if my system isn't used by everyone, I hope it encourages other people to try to match this level of quality. I've been on Roblox since 2007 and I honestly haven't seen anyone make any attempt to improve the guns we have since 2008. |

| In my experience, it's basically whoever has the fastest connection to the server. |

NVI is a smart dude This is probably the best weapons system someone could ask for I would rather have a smooth, manageable first person than the current 3rd person camera angle One thing you should add though is like the ARMA camera system, and have a key that lets you zoom out to third person at a fixed camera angle |

Bloody amazing, it sold me to your group. Finally a new vibe, one that could change Roblox clans as we know it.

| :D I'm going to try to get the new re-write published tonight. I had a good idea for selecting modules before putting them down on the table. I'm also going to make the table space bigger, since the guns are slightly bigger than I had anticipated. |

| Each weapon module can be configured and the settings will save per-module-per-player. This means you can switch your gun from full auto to burst and it'll save. It also means that module creators can make guns that improve over time or degrade over time, or let skills affect the gun's attributes. |
