First, I go around my house and collect loose change (quarters, dimes, pennies)
Next, when I go to buy something, I make sure to bring paper money just so the cashier can see it.
Then, when it's my turn to pay, I put the paper money in my wallet, they the loose change in like 2 zip-lock bags and give it to them with a smile.
And yes, they are required to count every coin.

| If you ever work retail, you'll come to hate yourself for doing this to people. |

I've actually worked as a cashier, and when I encounter people like yourself; I "encounter" machine errors, and then somehow my line shuts off, and I cant restart the cash register and monitor correctly, all in all wasting your time for a good 30-40 minutes, before you're directed by a manager to the customer service desk.
You suck. |

Hm. I remember when I was a kid, I did that...not with very tiny cents, but still coins...
I saved so many coins and had to count them all to make sure I could buy the video game I really wanted...I'd be always so anxious that I accidently didn't bring enough money because I made a counting-mistake although I counted three times just to make sure.
Looking back.......I feel really sorry for the cashier. >_> She was a really nice lady and went through that trouble...and I had like a pile of coins....Damn.
But I heard recently that in my country, they can reject you for having too many coins. Heh. >_> |

| I forgot which state, but there's a certain state that's illegal to pay with only pennies. |
