I RECOMMEND READING ALL THE IDEAS. If you are just going to post tl;dr, don't post at all.
The Table of Contents:
1. New Post Indicator 2. Accurate Reply Posting 3. Updating Your Threads 4. Locking Your Threads 5. Deleting Your Posts 6. Hiding Spam 7. Forcing Players to Read the Forum Rules
***********************************************
1. New Post Indicator There is an icon that indicates if someone has posted on the same thread while you are writing your reply. It would look like a speech bubble with an exclamation mark and it would be located to the right of the 'Subject: [Re: Thread's name]'.
+: It can prevent late posting. +: You know when you should add @(username) before your message if you were replying to someone specific. However, this pro is void if idea #2 is implemented.
2. Accurate Reply Posting There is a button labeled 'Post reply to this post' in between 'Post reply' and 'Report Abuse' buttons. It automatically adds '@' and the username of the person who you are replying to in the beginning of your reply. Or maybe something fancier instead. It also shows the exact post you are replying to in 'The message you are replying to:'. Currently it just shows the last post of the page. Of course, if the post doesn't allow replies, there is no 'Post reply to this post' button.
+: Other people know who you are replying to. +: You can read the post which you are replying to without leaving the writing page.
3. Updating Your Threads There is a button labeled 'Update thread' in the original post of the thread. It is only visible to the creator of the thread. It allows the creator to create a new original post to the same thread. New replies can be posted only to the newest version. The creator can give the thread a new title when updating it. The newest title is the one that is shown in the forum. The old versions and their replies can be viewed with a 'Previous versions' button, next to Posted: date and time, and it's visible to everybody. Clicking it shows a list of all the versions, like this:
1 - {**Great Forum Improvements**} 2 - {**Great Forum Improvements 2.0**} 3 - {**Best Forum Improvements**} (current version)
Clicking any of the versions shows you that version's original post and its replies. Again, new replies can be posted only to the newest version.
+: No need for creating new threads that are only updated versions of old threads. +: All the previous versions' feedback is easily accessible from the thread. -: A noob might update his thread to something that isn't even related to the previous version.
4. Locking Your Threads There is a button labeled 'Lock thread' on the right side of the 'Update thread' button (idea #3). It is only visible to the creator of the thread. When it's clicked, a message saying "Are you sure you want to lock this thread?", with options Yes and No, pops up. This way threads can't be accidently locked. If Yes is clicked, the thread stops allowing new replies.
+: Useful for ending threads that have been proven bad or not needed anymore.
5. Deleting Your Posts There is a button labeled 'Delete this post' next to 'Post reply' button in each of your own replies.
+: If you've made a typo, you can just delete the reply and post a new one. +: If you posted something you regret, you can just delete it. -: A troll might get people to say mean things to him, delete his post, and then it looks like the mean responses are pointed at the person who posted before him. However, this can be avoided by using the 'Post reply to this post' button (idea #2) or with @(troll's username).
6. Hiding Spam A. There is a button labeled 'Hide this post' in every post, next to 'Report Abuse'. Clicking it would change the post into just thin line, with poster's username, is he/she online and 'Unhide this post' button; no picture of the poster, content of the post or other details. B. There is another button, 'Hide all of this user's posts', in every post. It does the same as 6A but to EVERY post of the spammer, and there is a button labeled 'Unhide all of this user's posts', next to 'Unhide this post' button. Hiding posts only affect you so others will still see the posts.
+: Hiding spam. +: If the buttons are added to the comments of hats, gear, places etc, they can hide even more spam!
7. Forcing Players to Read the Forum Rules When a player enters a forum for the first time, the rules open automatically and clicking 'OK, I understand' button in the end is required. For an example, a player joins Roblox and after playing it a while, comes up with an idea to improve it. He then finds the forums and enters. Suddenly, RULES OF THE FORUM: READ THIS FIRST opens. The player reads it and clicks the 'OK, I understand' button. He goes to S&I. Now, How to Write a Suggestion on This Forum opens, also requiring clicking OK. Then WNTS opens. After that, the player knows what to do and what not to do and is free to suggest.
+: Less breaking the forums' rules. +: Less posts in the wrong forums.
***********************************************
Before you mention it, yes, I know I used the words "there is a button labeled..." often.
Comments are very appreciated, even if you don't support. If you don't support, give a reason so I can update my ideas. Do not spam. |

Also a button "Edit Reply" It is only available for the creator of the reply. They can this way fix spelling errors.
+you dn have to rewrite our post after deleting the old one -you could say something bad and then after you are reported change t to something good. [sollution to "-"] for the mods, it keeps a log of all of the different versions of it, and they can look at the version that was reported. |

1. I like this, because usually many people respond to the person above them, and include "Above blah blah" or "^", and always someone else responds before you, causing confusion.
2. Again, this idea is neat and very useful.
3. Support.
4. Support.
5. Support again.
6. Support, but there would be many people thinking these rules are "too long, won't read" and stuff, they'll just scroll down and click "ok" ignoring the walls of text.

@Stroniax
I thought about that but deleting posts can have the same effect. You just need to copypaste the old post and fix the typos. But that's still a good idea.
@All the supporters
Thank you! |

| Idea #7: Maybe they have to spend some amount of time on the thread before OK becomes clickable. |

"Starting Sept. 12, 2012 we are shifting our feedback efforts to our own forum on ROBLOX.com. You should start posting your new ideas on the Suggestions and Ideas forum there. Staff members have already started visiting that forum daily, and we want to hear from you. We will be exporting and analyzing the thousands of ideas already posted here at UserVoice, so you don’t have to re-post them on the forum."
