I'll be honest, I found the book, and the film, to be disappointing. It was alright, but I found the series to be more about the journey than the destination, it just wasn't satisfying enough for me.
Anyone else feel the same? |

Wait is deathly hallows the last part? If so yes I found it disappointing but mostly because harry just come back to life so easily.
The effects weren't that bad but I still think they could've gave a better ending.
And this part really doesn't get me.
So in the last scene you see Harry 20 years later sending his kid to school
WHY!!!!
After all that happened to him, nearly being killed, slaughtered not to mentioned hurt lots of times, and seeing his friends die.
WHY WOULD YOU SEND YOUR KID TO THAT SAME DARN PLACE!!!! |

To be fair though Hogwarts was safe until the resurrection of Voldemort, and with him dead permanently there was no real threat to the school or to the children attending it.
It was a lackluster ending, but the journey was incredible. I was immersed with the books, and films, I literally felt like I was a character, I can't say a lot of books have done that for me. I finished the book a few years ago, but upon finishing the movie, that's it for me, the series is over, and I find that sad.
Oh, God, the nostalgia. |

Ahh well I guess I have to read the books to understand it.
I've seen the movies but the books are probably different. |

The books are a thousand times better than the movies, like almost every book-based movie.
But I found the last book to be almost perfect in ending the series, and it's my favorite one of the series.
And I found the last movie to be the best of all of them, which wasn't too hard to do. |

Here's one:
Ginny and Harry's relationship isn't awkward or uncomfortable. |

I liked the ending. Who was Harry P. married to again? And what's the name of that girl.. Hermoine or something? |

@swift; I have seen several good book to movie adaptions, but have read no good movie to book adaptions.
@Peper; Harry's married to Ginny, and Hermione marries Ron. |
