My Dad is without a job and we had to spend the whole day searching for spare change around the house.
Its scaring me to see my family come down to this. I want to get a job to support us, but my Dad doesn't think I have the responsibility.
Seriously, who's going to pay for our internet bill?
Okay, I'm kidding about that, but I don't want to graduate from high school and leave for college when my family is struggling financially. |

| @reddanger, Writing's not my thing. I want a more legitimate job so those skills can pass on when I'm older. |

oh yeah it will interfere with your school
but it is more of a thing to do after high school if you're worried about college payments and such
i think you get paid for the service too |

| @skellor, I don't know. My Dad would like me to take up some form of military service, but everyone else tells me its a bad idea, that I'd somehow be ruining my future. |

it gives you a chance to give back to the community and you only have to serve for a relatively short amount of time
nothing wrong with going to college at 20 or 21 instead of 18 |

| If you have a good enough job then you can support yourself (although it would be very difficult to find a job that pays well enough and that you can work at when your not at school) and if you can support yourself your father cant force you to do anything. Even if he were to kick you out, which most parents wont, you can live with other people you know or by yourself if you have a good enough job and use the money you get from your job to buy what you need. Being kicked out is unlikely though and your father will probably realize you are responsible enough if you actually are.But if you don't want to go threw all the stress try to convince him you can handle a job by doing responsible things. |
