(If you don't care for Halo, there isn't really any point in continuing to read)
While playing SWAT in Halo 4, I started using a really neat trick to quickly get some quick first kills while playing on the map Haven.
(If you don't understand my references, you can look up a "Haven Map Layout", for a visual aid to all the callouts)
Recommended Weapon: Battle Rifle Gametype: SWAT (Or any gametype with no shields and precision loadout weapons)
After the update, whenever you first spawn on Haven, you will either be on the Red or Blue Ramp, depending on your team (obviously). As soon as you spawn into the game, run DOWN the ramp, with sprint, You will want to run through the lower Red Street, until you reach the Cosed Ramp (your sprint should run out shortly before you reach it). Walk up the ramp, until you have ample room to shoot (and strafe, if you think necessary). You should zoom in with your Battle Rifle. The opposing will likely begin coming into view at this point. Proceed to take them out with headshots.
This is effective because nowadays, players are becoming used to the Streets on Haven, and where the players will be. In anticipation, many players simply roam through the streets zoomed in. At the beginning of a match, most players, if not all, are anticipating the opposing team to appear around the corner, so that's where they're looking. With reduced sight because they're zoomed in with their weapon, it is highly unlikely they will see you when you emerge from the Closed Ramp. You have the element of surprise, and you're practically invisible. Therefore, you have a superior advantage.
If you do manage to exterminate the opposing team, it's very likely that you can predict where they will spawn. In my experience, they will either spawn at their ramp (maybe your team's, if you're all far away, and none are respawning), or at their Wing, where they'll push up to Top Mid, and take the Bridge towards their Ramp. This is ONLY what I've found in my experience, and is not 100% garunteed to be the same for you, as it relies on many factors in the game, and the players' mind.
I've used this tactic many times before, and it's worked flawlessly. I suggest you at least give it a try, because it's a very easy technique to master.
If you've managed to read all this and say to yourself "Wow, this is useless", I'm sorry.
Anyway, I hope you readers can appreciate the work I put into this, and maybe even find this little trick useful! Happy Gaming!

Swat is my favourite. However, now, during the championship I am really bad at it I get only 4th or 5th place since people hide near spawns and spawn kill you.
I get spawn killed 5 times in a row before I escape and start getting kills. |
