Can't seem to load place files which are located on my computer using ROBLOX Studio. I can create place files and edit new ones, but once I unload them and try to reload them I wind up at a ceaseless loading stage.
Test instances follow:
- Waited once for an hour for a place file to load, got nothing. - Waited a second time for ~six hours for a place file to load, nothing again.
All I am getting on an output stream is the same thing I got before trying to load the place (follows):
err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {76d50904-6780-4c8b-8986-1a7ee0b1716d} could be created for context 0x1 err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {76d50904-6780-4c8b-8986-1a7ee0b1716d} not registered
Before that all I got was the following:
fixme:win:FlashWindowEx 0x33a1d4 fixme:crypt:CRYPT_RegControl CERT_STORE_CTRL_AUTO_RESYNC: stub fixme:crypt:CRYPT_RegControl CERT_STORE_CTRL_AUTO_RESYNC: stub fixme:wintrust:HTTPSCertificateTrust (0x1110bcf0) fixme:wintrust:HTTPSFinalProv (0x1110bcf0) fixme:ras:RasEnumConnectionsW (0x13ed48, 0x4a0bafc, 0x76c623e4), stub! fixme:ras:RasEnumConnectionsW RAS support is not implemented! Configure program to use LAN connection/winsock instead!
Just to take note, I've followed the steps on the wiki and Wine AppDB pages by using Winetricks to install vcrun2008, winhttp, and wininet.
This seems to be the most serious glitch I've managed to find while running ROBLOX through Wine 1.6 on Linux. |

I HAVE A TEMPORARY FIX.
Simply save the contents of your place as a model file on your computer and reinsert the contents of the model file when you want to work again. Although might screw with scripts relying on absolute positions to not change, it is better than nothing. NOTE that not everything can be saved to a ROBLOX model file and be replaced. You will need to either edit their properties at run time with a script you insert or manually edit them before testing/upload. |

ROBLOX is not supported by Linux. Although, it's possible to run. Try using windows. |

Said what isn't finished?
Granted, Wine will never be 'complete'. But getting as much of an application functional under Wine's supported environments would be a great aid to the application's users. |
