| What do guys think of ReactOS? It's DX support is limited true, and it also has only limited Win8 kernel support, but I still think it's a very interesting project and potential fun to use as a light NT-compatible coding platform, thoughts? |

Meh, I see it's usefulness at least 50-50.

I think that I'll withhold judgement until it's out of pre-alpha.

| It's full of too many bugs to do anything. For example, it just doesn't work on multicore support. |

| I'm not sure why anyone would use it when a less buggy, more mature version already exists - it's called Windows. |

| I agree, iOS 7 looks promising. |

@NVI
Because it's open source and is attempting full binary compatibility. That would allow the system to be heavily optimized for Windows-only server software.
Of course, it will take time to get to that stage, but it holds promise. |

@NVI You're really comparing a multi-hundred dollar operating system to a great, promising project that hopes to allow binary compatibility? |

| I was just playing with it a bit in virtualbox, and it's really fun. I'm working on seeing if I can re-skin it to Win7 and run NWN on it. |
