[7] Misc. Information

[1] Introduction
Vortex Security Marine Corps (http://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid=485153) is back. You might remember the division from months ago, while it was an official VS division.

It's not like the old Marine Corps, though.

This division has two main aspects:
1. Leadership
2. English language

Most of our other divisions are based on combat. In Marine Corps, combat will play a subordinate role.

[2] Acceptance
In order to get accepted into Marine Corps, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be at least a Private First Class in VS;
2. Send an application to a Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant or First Sergeant, explaining why you deserve entry.

The recommended length of the application is around 150 words, but it's entirely up to you.

Your application will be accepted or denied, depending on your grammar/spelling and its content.

[3] Promotions

1. [E-1] to [E-4] Level

Those ranks can be achieved through trainings*.

*Note: [E-3] Level Staff must be tested upon qualifying for [E-4] through training. If they pass the test (administered by a Gunnery Sergeant+), they may then be promoted to [E-4] (see section [5] of this guide).

2. [E-5] to [E-6] Level

The rank requirement in the Main Division for these command levels is Master Sergeant+. Each of these command levels requires a test to reach. To qualify for a test, you must prove to a higher rank (in the Corps) that you are active and qualified for the position. The acquiring of the [E-5] and [E-6] command levels start with an application to a Gunnery Sergeant+, and then tests will be administered (see section [5] of this guide).

3. [E-7] to [E-8] First Sergeant Level

There is a rank requirement of First Lieutenant+ in the Main Division for these command levels. To achieve the [E-7] command level, the [E-6] level personnel must apply to a First Sergeant. Tests will be administered (see section [5] of this guide). Keep in mind, this rank has a lot of authority, so First Sergeants will be selective when testing.

The rank of First Sergeant will be awarded to outstanding Gunnery Sergeants, although you need to be at least a Colonel in the main division. This rank is not to be asked for, the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps chooses himself.

4. Fireteam Staff

Two Fireteam Leaders will be chosen by the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, possibly together with Master Sergeants. Fireteam Leaders are always Captain or higher in the main division. Fireteam Leaders get their own Fireteam (Alpha or Bravo). As a Fireteam Leader, you may choose anyone in the Corps to be a member of your Fireteam. The way you accept people into your Fireteam is up to you. You cannot remove people from your Fireteam without the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps' approval, which will only be given if the Fireteam Leader has very good reasons. So, choose wisely.

5. [E-8] Master Sergeant to [E-9] Level

[E-8] Master Sergeant command level is only available to Lieutenant Generals+ in the Main Division. Lieutenant Generals must apply for it, Generals and the Leader achieve this rank automatically. [E-9] command level is the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, who oversees all activities within the Corps. He hosts special tests for those who apply for Fireteam Leader or Master Sergeant. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps is General opperblox24.

Post Note: There is no time requirement for any command level, but you should use common sense. For example, if you were promoted to the [E-5] level yesterday, you probably shouldn't be applying for promotion to [E-6] today.

[4] Ranks

1. [E-1] to [E-4] Level - Junior Staff Personnel

These ranks have no authority over one another. They are considered Junior Level personnel.

2. [E-5] to [E-6] Level - Senior Staff Personnel

These ranks have authority over Junior Level personnel. [E-6] Level has authority over [E-5] Level. These command levels can delete posts on the wall, and it is their job to make sure that things stay on topic. If they are disobeyed by Junior Level Staff, they can report the insubordinate member to a Gunnery Sergeant+, who may demote the member in question. These ranks can shout in the group. [E-5] Level personnel can shout about defends or raids, and [E-6] Level personnel are able to hold trainings. They send their recommendations to [E-7] Level personnel.

3. [E-7] Level - Command Staff

The [E-7] Level personnel are the primary promoters of the group. Most promotions and tests go through them. They handle group acceptances and are able to host trainings. They have full authority over [E-1] to [E-6] Level personnel.

4. Fireteam

Fireteam Leaders only have authority over their own Fireteam members, they do not have authority over anyone else in the Marine Corps. Fireteams do things together: they defend bases, raids (if in war) and have meetings to improve their own quality of combat skills. Each Fireteam (Alpha and Bravo) will get their own weapons in Vulcan.

5. [E-8] to [E-9] Level - High Command Staff

The [E-8] and [E-9] Level personnel have complete authority over the group.

There are two different [E-8] level ranks: First Sergeants and Master Sergeant. These two ranks are equal, but there is a difference between both.

First Sergeant is the highest rank obtainable for Colonels and below in the main division. First Sergeants are mostly in charge of hosting tests and making sure that each rank is doing its job. First Sergeants are able to promote. They may use this power whenever someone passed a test or someone proved himself worthy for [E-7] level.

Master Sergeant is a rank only obtainable by Lieutenant Generals+ in the main division. Lieutenant Generals may apply for this rank to the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Generals and the leader get this rank automatically. The main job of Master Sergeants is to oversee all activities in Marine Corps. Unlike First Sergeants, Master Sergeants do not host any trainings or tests themselves, they merely observe. They do have the power to promote, however, they may only use this power to demote abusive members. Unlike First Sergeants, they have the power to exile members.

Lieutenant Generals may also apply for First Sergeant, instead of Master Sergeant. Generals and the leader may switch ranks without applying.

[E-9] level (Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps) has as primary job to keep the division active and to organize the [E-8] level ranks. He may also hosts tests.

[5] Promotion Tests

Note: In each test, the tester is required to recount his recent activity in Marine Corps and explain why he deserves the next rank. The length of this response is up to the tester.

1. Promotion test for [E-3] to [E-4]

This will be a basic grammar and spelling test. The tester must get 80% of the questions totally correct to pass. If they don't get 80% correct, they must wait two days to retake it.

2. Promotion test for [E-4] to [E-5]

This will be a slightly more advanced grammar and spelling test. The tester must get 85% of the questions totally correct to pass. If they don't get 85% correct, they must wait two days to retake it. Following the grammar/spelling test will be a minor leadership test.

3. Promotion test for [E-5] to [E-6]

There will be a knowledge test (this is not a grammar/spelling test) that makes the tester think strategically. There will be two or three questions about a defense scenario at VS bases. After that, a practical test will be administered in which the tester conducts a training in Marine Corps under the supervision of a Gunnery Sergeant+.

4. Promotion test for [E-6] to [E-7]

The details of this test will be given to the [E-6] when he/she applies for the rank of [E-7].

[6] VS Outranking System

- Junior Staff Personnel are equal to VSSP members
- All higher staff personnel has authority over VSSP members

[7] Misc. Information

- Colonels automatically start at Staff Sergeant [E-6] and may apply for Gunnery Sergeant [E-7] to a First Sergeant [E-8] or the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps [E-9].

- Lieutenant Generals automatically start at Gunnery Sergeant [E-7] and may apply for First Sergeant [E-8] or Master Sergeant [E-8] to the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps [E-9]. Applying for First Sergeant always is recommended.

- Generals and the Leader automatically start at Master Sergeant [E-8], but they may switch to First Sergeant [E-8] whenever they want.
