What ever happened to building with bricks and using creativity? Now ROBLOX is urging users to forget their imaginations and play with pre-defined sets of textured blocks that someone else designed and use the same vehicles, wall pieces, and doors as every other kid. Now I bet their will be some of you out their that say, "DERP MRWORMY THERE ARE MULTIPLE TYPES OF DOORS AND STUFF THEY CAN USE" and yes there are. But none of the stuff they actually built! Now they're talking about pre-determined structures of land for groups to have raids on? Why can't we just build our own terrains and use our own CREATIVITY to make an awesome fort or mountain cave laboratory that won't have the same textures and look the exact same as everyone else's fort and mountain cave laboratory.
Now some of you who know me well know that I help build REDALERT2's Sandbox which uses pre-designed blocks just like what the ROBLOX Staff do with their horrid "terrains" so that probably looks bad at first. But Sandbox is different for a number of reasons. First off, Sandbox users have so much creativity! I saw one kid made a fridge out of two cabinets and it looked like a fridge! Also, Sandbox is different from the tight conforms of what ROBLOX Staff want us to build by because most of the time, the ideas for new things come from the users! Even if they didn't build it directly they still assist me and the other Sandbox Staff in every way they want! And we listen! Unlike the ROBLOX Staff who send you to some help page that has the same answers over and over.
So before I go on about advertising Sandbox, I want you all to think about the days before the terrains were added and remember how we were able to be as creative as we possibly can but now ROBLOX Admins want to change that. |

| You don't forget about imagination you either have it or you don't, you can easily be creative with anything they give you if you truely are imaginative. |

| Yes i solemnly agree. This is absolutely terrible. i remember in 2007 when we could all build our own things, and built mode was quite simple indeed. But in fact, we may go into ROBLOX studio mode and build, but it can be quite challenging. i do agree roblox should definitely give our privs. back. |

| thenoobwithin I 100% Agree with you! We have no chances to just use something that just popped into our heads. It is as if they are asking us to build a building on our own design, but give us blueprints! ROBLOX Staff have to seriously re-think there strategy to gain users and popularity... DOOMing our creativity is NOT the right way. We should band together with other users and make an Anti-RBG(Roblox Generated) Blocks! P.M. Me for details on this. Maybe we can get something to change! Thanks if you read this, If not. I respect your view still. |

Now, Sandbox allows players to give out copies of their creations, and this is a big problem. I see lots of people argue over if that epic mansion is a copy or not. Once I created a multi-colored pyramid out of ice that looked just like what the copied ones looked like, but the truth backfired, and everyone was like " Oh, don't lie that it's yours, you're just another normal roblox noob who's ashamed of his lack in creativity."
...You guys can't ever take the truth seriously, can you?
But, I know one way to prove others wrong! If you download ezvid, Fraps, or whatever screen recorder you have (ROBLOX's built-in recorder can't record videos long enough), you can start recording FOOTAGE of yourself building your best creation! I felt so clever when I first thought of this idea! If you tell someone that your building is not a copy, and you have footage, this is probably what it would seem to you;
You: Hey! Check out my epic mansion!
Player: Wow, noob it's obviously a copy.
You: Oh, you don't believe me? Go watch my Youtube video of the footage I made!
(The player goes to watch the footage and comes back about an hour later)
Player: *facepalm*
So this is how it would seem to prove somebody wrong about your creation. (It makes me feel awesome when I do this). |
