What is the difference between "farther" and "further"?
Are they just interchangeable or...? |

“Farther” refers to a physical distance, while “further” refers to a figurative distance.
I looked it up, I honestly didn't know. |

Farther is used for physical distances while further is used for figurative distances.

"Farther" is more for distance, like geographical distance. It literally means farther as in "go farther that way" or something. "Further" can be for time or figurative distances. |

Just think of it like this:
Mercury is "farther" away from Venus, but if someone offers you the chance to go to either, you'll probably have to think "further" about the matter. |
