The "I" should be capitalized, there should be an apostrophe after the "n" in "dont", and you forgot the period at the end of your sentence.

The "u" in "um" should be capitalized, and you forgot the period. Although, that is a sentence fragment, as it does not represent a complete thought or idea.

Clever, perhaps a copy of "Grammar for Dummies" is the next move for you? All punctuation marks belong inside the quotation marks, regardless if it is part of the quote or not. By choosing not to do so, it appears as if you attempted to end a sentence that never existed. |

If you put the period inside the quotations, you're ending the quotation, not the sentence itself. Clever is, in fact, correct.
