I only have Fallout 3.
I got Game of the Year Edition which comes with all DLC, a real life map of the map in game, and a poster. For only 14 bucks.

My opinion:
FONV
Better gameplay Better content Branching story
FO3
Immersive atmosphere Better gameworld Well-crafted, personal story

The only thing I didn't like about the game was the SUPER open world, like with high level opponents at level one. One time, I exited vault 101 for the first time, and I saw BOS attacking BOS OC, (when I played for the first time), so I freaked out annd sprayed with a 10mm pistol and got mauled by fifty BOS and BOS OC. :(

@hound
You're basically suggesting it be more casualized. I'd rather enemies not level with me.

Hmph, Fallout 3 had Mr Burke in it, it is clearly superior. I love that guy.

Well, I have Fallout 3 GOTY Edition. I personally love it a lot.
I have played New Vegas and it's good but, I feel much more effort was put into Fallout 3 so I think Fallout 3 falls superior. |

Fallout 3... although I made it farther through New Vegas because I couldn't finish Operation Anchorage... long story... I didn't save for awhile and then I accidentally shot a guy and had to kill everyone in the base... Now I have to destroy 5 Chimera Tanks with a sub-machine gun all by myself...

Fallout new vegas had a descent storyline but you jump to the conclusion and beat the game far too easily. The DLC's weren't the best but I enjoyed Lonesome Road because I love ED-E. Fallout 3 was a very strange fallout. It was like you had a super upgraded wild wasteland perk. The Point Lookout DLC would be a fantastic example. When you had to qualify for a clan by finding Punga fruit for them but you had to eat the punga fruit and you started hearing things and seeing things. It was a horrific expierience with Turtle Beaches. I nearly screamed when I was staring at the skeleton and when I put my crosshairs over it the words I saw were...... Mom. I had about 3 seconds to realize what I had seen before a ghoul screamed and nearly gave me a heart attack. That is my review on Fallout NV vs Fallout 3. The winner for me is Fallout 3. I like a near death scare every once and a while.

When did I write this? I thought I got hacked and someone posted this for some apparent reason, but I started recognizing stuff.

Fallout 3 has a better feel to it. Fallout NV I liked it because of the gameplay indefinitely. Basically, to me the story is what kept me playing Fallout 3, along with the awesome atmosphere. Fallout NV, I just loved using those weapons and killing everything.

The way I did Fallout NV, I would do all the missions in that town, and then I would kill everyone in it and just keep doing that.
