Here's my top 2 predictions:
A.ToberDam being a new leader is put up to the test and seeks a way to prove his abilities as TGI's leader to his own clan and the forums. He decides to knowingly declare war on VAK while in hibernation as it gives him an easy opportunity to promote the image of his leadership and clan. Out of an anticipation for VAK to reject this war, he intensifies his declaration by encouraging others to take part in this war and for superpowers to get involved. Once VAK finally rejects this proposition due to their hibernation, TGI win by technicality as it has a much larger support base on the forums than VAK.
The side effect may be that although at the time it may seem completely rational for people to believe that TGI did the right thing, as time passes by its decisions are regarded foolish and TGI's placed on par with other clans that declare "auto victories" with a significant loss in reputation. Not to mention what this could do to the clan in times of decline, there'll be many people out there using this as an example to one of TGI's decision making mistakes.
B. It's likely that this entire thing will result in both sides developing unbearable forts which will result into an immense frustration until finally one side is pressured into submission under the claim that "the war is pointless". VAK being a clan widely disconnected to anyone outside of it in comparison to TGI will receive a much smaller amount of pressure on their backs to deal with. If things do turn into a stalemate, C&G's influence over TGI to leave the war will eventually impact the mindset of its members and cause the leadership to foil.
Although VAK would become a lot stronger internally, it would lose out on recruitment and self-image as clan members would generally stick to TGI's side and mock VAK's stubbornness and irrationality.
As opposed to the people that like comparing manpower, allies, and all that kind of stuff -- I really think that this war is up to the way its leaders make it be.
At all costs, TGI doesn't want to be defeated by it's old man, and neither does VAK by the youngster.
Regardless of whatever happens, this war will be far from clean and fair.

I don't like TGI anymore. Brickster was a better leader.
Take the cow, it's our only hope! |
