| Oldies we're a time of love, a time where music didn't have to contain money or girls to become good. My dad never goes out driving his Impala 64 without blasting oldies <3 I wish I grew up in a better era. |

| coolguy, Oldies doesn't necessarily mean old. More like a type of music, but yes you can say 1940's- 1970's. Mostly maybe around 1950's-1969. "Oldies" meant the 15 years from the birth of rock n roll (which rock n roll means a whole different type of music now) to the beginning of the singer-songwriter era of the early 1970s, or about 1955 to 1972. |

DUR WHO CARES IF WE CAN GET MUSIC ON THE INTERNET OR ITUNES NOW INSTEAD OF WORKING HARD TO GET MONEY TO BUY IT, OR IF THERE'S STILL SOME GOOD BANDS TODAY THAT I DON'T KNOW ABOUT CLASSIC ROCK AND THE 70'S-80'S FTW -- ≈Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! deviated, Your opinion is your opinion, but I think if you grew up back then, you would hate the music now. And I'm half black (Other half Mexican), and I know this from experience, there will always be racism. No matter what era you're in. And around that time Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the marches were going on, and that showed white people are not all the same. SO who says they ALL won't like you? |

And @johnb I don't think that would really be considered an "Oldie" even though it's old and pretty awesome. All music 1950's-1999 was the best. Unless you weren't taught about music, and had to inherit new music from influence and mainstream crowds. |

Music from 1500-2012 can be good, the time period doesn't matter What matters is if you like it -- ≈Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! I'a, Cthulhu fhtagn! I'a, Cthulhu fhtagn! I'a, Cthulhu fhtagn!≈ |

@louisthomas, Music wasn't corrupted, nor did I say mainstream music started on 2000 and onwards. >You are an idiot >I never said anything you just stated >Nobody can prove anything, neither can you. Get out of here you YMCMB, skinny jean, YOLO shirt wearing kid. If you want to keep talking, come see me irl because syaing this over a keyboard won't prove you strength.
These kids think they can talk to me like I wouldn't backhand the talk out their mouth. |
