Hello Sleet Clan Members and Curious Community Readers.
As the new leader of Sleet Clan I have been thinking about how to intelligently expand our numbers while also maintaining high levels of activity among the new people who come to join the clan.
I think we can break down the process into four or five aspects. To be clear, this effort will require the cooperation and effort of the entire clan throughout every rank. The higher your rank, the more responsibility in this system you have, as is labelled in the rank and advancement guide.
First Step: Connecting with the New Members. This step will likely be the most tedious one of all of these efforts on the high ranks. I have been contacting each of the high ranks with a standard message to be PM'ed to new members on a daily basis. The way this will be organized is that each high rank will have a scheduled day of the week (or possibly every two weeks as we gain more high ranks) in which they are responsible for sending this standard message to every new member, which can be added to by the high rank. The procedure for doing this is to contact the person who sent the messages yesterday in to find out who the first person they messaged was. After recording this name, the high rank will also record the name of the first person they message before going through the warrior rank and sending the message to everyone they can until they reach the previous days names. The next day, they will share who they started with to the next person. In this way we avoid spamming our members while still getting them valuable information which can help them get introduced to the way Sleet Clan functions.
Second Step: Mid-Rank Apprenticeship Program As detailed in the rank and advancement guide, a requirement for Mid Ranks in order to keep moving up in the ranks is to essentially adopt new members and help them move to the rank of paladin through their help and encouragement. This will seriously help the clan by building that family/community mindset and connecting the core user mid ranks to the new user lower ranks. We are then able to bridge this connection into high ranks as the middle ranks become promoted. I think this aspect is the most important in creating activity, as well as being a very new concept in clans today. Consider it to be experimental. Mid-Ranks need to keep a record of their apprentices to be submitted at times of promotion by a Centurion or above.
Third Step: Ethical Advertising One thing I never appreciated was the use of false advertising to gain members for Sleet Clan. We will not use these tactics in this clan, and our advertisements will represent the image that we try to portray both to the clan community and the general community at large. This will help in a minor way by allowing people to know what they are getting into before they click on the ad. This will reduce the number of members who join for the purpose of receiving a free item and then never log on again or participate. We care about participation, not false member count.
Fourth Step: Welcome Meetings and Sleet Saturdays To celebrate the arrival of new members, every saturday all new members will be invited to attend a welcome meeting in which they can talk casually with their high ranks, be introduced to the clan in a fun way, and then go play something fun with their clansmen. We may use this time to go to another roblox game, or even play a different game as part of the overarching [CLANTAG] gaming community. Either way, that time is about fun. Raids will go unanswered during this time, fair warning.
Fifth Step: Bringing Results Our goal for these programs is to achieve between 25% and 50% activity. As we continue to grow this might be slightly unrealistic, but I don't like limiting myself. By the end of the year I want at least 2000 active members in Sleet Clan on a daily basis. By this time it will be very clear who the top clan is.
Cheers, and other clans feel free to try some of these ideas if you want, just give credit where it is due!

| Some details that should be mentioned: Warlords need to keep track of how often a member is promoted. Because of this I am going to open the audit log to warlords as well in order to check when someone got promoted. I am not going to put a time limit on promotions, however you shouldn't get promoted for minor things to quickly rise up those lower ranks. Consider those lower ranks our academy group. |

| I thought you were better than this, posting huge walls of words won't improve a clan that is beyond broken. |

| Benbonez, I have only seen failure in the times I have given up. I have faith in the high rank team I am putting together and the members who have had their loyalty tested far more than any other group. |

@benbonez
you obviously didn't actually read it
ploober isn't one to post a huge word wall if the content isn't important
this is a good idea and i think if pulled off correctly, sc will rise to the top |
