It only made national news because the NAACP and other "minority-rights organizations" (because apparently Hispanic is no longer a minority), cried and screamed that the court system were persecuting black people (and being biased towards what, Hispanics?).
That's what started this trial. The state essentially wanted to get people to shut up, and decided to bring it to trial. |
