Most of you are familiar (or should be) with a widely known script-oriented object, called an AI or Artificial Intelligence.
Throughout the day, I have been pondering the potential uses for AI's. I have been attempting to modify the core abilities of the AI's and tried to present more purpose to it.
Furthermore, I have decided to ask the Scripting Helper users to figure out more additional uses to the AI's besides the fundamental; more common uses.
Try to make these ideas revolutionary and add more complexity to your ideas then the more basic AI's. |

An AI isn't an object and has nothing to do with scripts, AI is a concept that intelligence can be generated in an non-natural way. lrn2think |

No, just generally any AI type. I never actually specified, since I wanted to see what ideas you guys had on more complexed AI abilities.
I'll determine what ideas are the best, and from there attempt to implicate the ideas into scripting format.
Of course most AI's are different, but I find them mostly basic from the ones I have experienced. Like I said, I'm looking for revolutionary ideas that can add more complexity to the AI. |

Unless you're planning on solving strong AI, you need some sort of application.
What problem needs intelligence that you're trying to solve? |

@MrChubbs
The actual term Artificial Intelligence is that, but the way we implicate it through ROBLOX is through characters or objects.

@shayan The same can be said about salad. Never waste time discussing semantics. He's right that your original explanation was very misguided. |

I don't have a problem, I'm just very blank with ideas. I have the base of my idea, which is adding more complexity to the AI, but I need ideas on how to add it. Like immensely modifying its abilities. |

There currently is no `brain` that you're starting with. Artificial intelligence is just math or algorithms aimed at solving specific problems. General or near general systems are too impractical, expensive, and slow to use currently. What do you want to do? |

I apologize for not completely specifying what I meant, I'm sure by now you understand what I'm saying though. |

Have it copy and build structures?

Why can't we have the AI interact with users differently? Seriously there has to be other things we can make the AI do. Isn't there? That's the point of this thread, I'm looking for ideas for what I could make the AI do that's more complex. |

@lupine
Thanks, there's my first example for you, BlueTaslem. It doesn't interact with users to much (his idea) but it's a good start. |

Things artificial intelligence could do in RŌBLOX, a short list made in a few minutes: 1) Establish moods of RŌBLOX users 2) Censor / filter text or otherwise determine intent 3) Answer questions or give hints or other information 4) Provide filler dialog to make scenes seem less pointless 5) Evaluate proper responses to player made structures in games 6) Generate fun levels for players 7) Manage automated driving / mapping / navigating 8) Optimize scripts for performance 9) Give feedback on script errors in Script Builders 10) Complete details on a player made structure 11) Judge buildings, creations, etc 12) Test playability of places 13) Act as opponents in varieties of games, GUI / board or realtime etc... Be specific. I still have no idea what you want. These problems are completely unrelated. |

Very nice ideas.
Don't worry, judging from your list, you have the right concept of what I'm trying to ask here.
Ideas of what AI's could do that is more complex. |
