Then how come good swordfighters always win sword fights against worse swordfighters?
Everybody loses in poker, no matter the skill.

The better fighter doesn't always win but they will most of the time, same way with every other weapon.

The better fighter would win against a worse fighter.

Unless luck is in play.
The kind of luck I'm talking about is the good sfer's computer shutting down randomly.

Swordfighting involves no luck whatsoever. (In fact, the only thing that effects swordfighting other than skill is latency and FPS)

People just see bad SF'ers kill a good SF'er and automatically assume it **must** be luck. However, that is wrong. How did the bad SF'er win then? Simple, the good SF'er made a mistake. And everyone does every once in awhile, so it appears as "luck", when in reality, the good SF'er just messed up.

I wouldn't say terrain, that is called the height advantage, which can be applied to anything really (e.g. if you accidentally went off the side of a flat baseplate and happened to hit the other person while falling and killing them).

or you could camp a high spot that he needs to jump in order to reach you, therefore you hit him when his sword is up and he cant hit you
