Then how come good swordfighters always win sword fights against worse swordfighters? Everybody loses in poker, no matter the skill. |

| The better fighter doesn't always win but they will most of the time, same way with every other weapon. |

The better fighter would win against a worse fighter.
Unless luck is in play. The kind of luck I'm talking about is the good sfer's computer shutting down randomly. |

Swordfighting involves no luck whatsoever. (In fact, the only thing that effects swordfighting other than skill is latency and FPS)
People just see bad SF'ers kill a good SF'er and automatically assume it **must** be luck. However, that is wrong. How did the bad SF'er win then? Simple, the good SF'er made a mistake. And everyone does every once in awhile, so it appears as "luck", when in reality, the good SF'er just messed up.

I wouldn't say terrain, that is called the height advantage, which can be applied to anything really (e.g. if you accidentally went off the side of a flat baseplate and happened to hit the other person while falling and killing them).

| or you could camp a high spot that he needs to jump in order to reach you, therefore you hit him when his sword is up and he cant hit you |
