Ok. When I wake up my computer from being suspended [Ubuntu version of sleep for windows] I get the following error code on the regular system screen. [black with white font, that one.]
[32176.997553] [Firmware Bug]: cpu 1, try to use APIC500 (LUT offset 0) for vector 0x400, but the register is already in use for vector 0xf9 on another cpu |

| Hi. After some research I can't really find much. Do you have an AMD Graphics card? |

Graphics card? Nope. I use an old-ish Nvidia, though I do use an AMD processor.

| Has this just started happening? Could you give me the name of your AMD processor? To me it looks like it might have problems coming out of the low power state designed to save power. But it might be related to ubuntu. |

| I can't really suggest anything. Did you unlock the 4th core on your processor? You might have more luck on the ubuntu forums... |

| First of all I'm going to assume its a flash game. Download google chrome and see if you can play it with that. This also isn't hardware and you very vaguely explain the problem. |

@Z007
It's age really (manufacturing process too). A pentium 3 that was made with 180mm manufacturing process and runs at 800mhz wont be nearly as good as a current gen intel manufactured in 28nm that runs at the same speed. Other than that, clock rate, cores, technology (Turbo, Hyperthreading) and cache are big factors. It's much easier to compare processors side by side rather than speculation and generally speaking.
@yotroll
Go to flash's website and download the latest version yourself. I doubt it's your firewall. |
