Hey everyone, BaseReview here, once again, with another review!
Today, I will be doing RAT Fort Celeste II! And I have to say, this was quite a fun base to go to.

So, without further a due, let's begin!
-WEAPONS-
RAT/Allies: Cyclone, grenade.
Raiders : Cyclone, grenade.
-ADVANTAGES-
RAT: Closer spawning to the gate, division only doors, division only weapons.
Enemies: Closer spawning to the boat (Occasionally).
-REVIEW-
Celeste II was a decent base to raid. Of course, as always I solo-raid, so I might not get the full experience, but I still got into the base, to see all of the things.
To those who don't know, to get into the base, you need to take the boat, where you initially spawn, to a mountain, where there are snowmobiles. You then take the snowmobiles, until you come to a jump, which leads you directly into the base.
Moving on, the guns were raycast, which frankly, I didn't like. Raycast, in my opinion, has a lot of downsides. Health glitching, and hats blocking the rays, make fighting quite frustrating.
Now, to talk a bit more of RAT's advantages. For each division, they get a special gun. For example, Immortals get the supressor, and the Honor members get the pulse. It unbalances the base, by quite a bit. They also have a division only door, which, does exactly as the name implies. Only members of the divisions can use it.
The terminal of the base is located on the 2nd floor of the tower, like most of the other essential things are. Such as the armory, and the medkits. The terminal is glitchy most of the time, but still bearable.
A final thing I'd like to go over, is the VIP. If you've read my reviews before, you know that I absolutely loathe VIP for bases (for the most part). But, the VIP at Celeste takes it over the top, in my opinion. With a VIP only gun, it'd be fine, but a jetpack is completely crazy! The only upside, is that the VIP isn't crazily priced, so it actually is quite accessible.
All in all, the base is old, and it shows, with glitches, and the raycast. I'm not saying it's a bad base, I'm saying if you'd like to raid there, be advised of it's age, and try not to get too frustrated with leg glitching ray blocking people.
But, for now that's all! As always, if I forgot to add something, please say so in the comments!
So, that's my review! Love it? Hate it? Post why!
And, thanks for reading!
Yours Truly,

I have... mixed feelings for this base.
It isn't something I'd raid regularly, if that's enough information.

you need a group for you to call on at any time to raid with like, 20 active members

Just going to put it out there, this isn't actually the base we'll be using permanently.
We realize how absurdly unfair it is, but it's a lot more fun and gets more members to patrol than at Borealis.
Plus with Celeste III coming out, we want to honor the previous Celeste before we replace it with the updated, more fair base.
The tech is several years old, of course it's buggy af. |
