Yea, it's not that hard. I disassembled and reassembled a computer before, and that was when I had little-to-no knowledge on how it worked.
Also, you didn't answer my question. We are talking about prebuilt brands, yes? |

| The vast majority of components you just have to plug into something else and move on. There is nothing really technical if you are just assembling off-the-shelf parts. |

None of them are really good, so I'll divide them by decent/mediocre/avoid.
Decent being pretty good, Mediocre being alright, and avoid being, well, avoid at all costs.
Decent: -Asus -MSI (Though I believe they only produce laptops) -SAGER (Laptops Only)
Mediocre: -HP/Compaq (Not that great, Systems tend to be quite a bit overpriced and don't last long)
Avoid: -Dell/Alienware (Insanely overpriced) -Acer/eMachines (Unless they have gotten their stuff together, they are quite bad)
I honestly cannot think of many more prebuilt companies at the moment. |

| Pretty much all pre-builts skimp on motherboards, RAM and other non-showpiece items (the GPU and CPU are always the most prolific). |

@explicit
Pretty much. Any prebuilt from a company that does not give you explicit control over a component such as the motherboard will end up giving you a cheap piece of junk. Even alienware uses cheap motherboards in their desktop pcs which is staggering considering the cost of them. |

It is actually quite good. Only £400 too.
I dont plan on running something like Bf3 with about 200 players per server. |
