Let's hammer down the fact that Paid Access is going to happen. The developers aren't going to backpedal just because users are signing petitions and blowing raspberries at the staff. Let's also establish that I currently have only 300 tickets. I don't have premium membership. I haven't bought a real Hat in ages. I won't be able to get into many pay-to-play games.
Pretty soon game creators are going to put price tags on their Places in order for you to enter them. You pay in ROBUX, and the price can range up to a maximum of 50 R$, for now.
In a way, Paid Access is setting up quality assurance. It's like the automobile industry: If you're manufacturing a state-of-the-art car and selling it off for a horrifically low price (let's say a dime, compared to a single Ticket everyone earns from a place visit on ROBLOX), you are getting shorthanded regardless of if you don't have to purchase any resources to make the car.
Game developers sell off their indie games all the time. Paid Access is a way of ROBLOX users getting their cut. Ever hear of STEAM Greenlight? That's where all the profit from Arma II's DayZ mod is coming from.
The point is, users who have put weeks into their game creation deserve to have their "cars" sell for what they deserve. If you're going to say Paid Access isn't necessary, then have fun with your tycoons, obstacle courses, and role-plays on the front page that you can play for free. You shouldn't have to settle for garbage, and with higher potential profit motivating the real game-makers on ROBLOX, you won't have to settle long.

What cut? They're earning 1 tix per person. That's a lot if a game is filled with 1k or 2k players.

| Also something like "paid beta" for games would be nice because it would keep unfinished games off the front page |

Thank you so much for posting this Keel. I'm so tired of these people complaining. And here is some information for some of you who haven't read it:
From ChiefJustus:
Except that's not how it works.
Money earned from paid access does not go straight to the game's creator; it goes into escrow for a period of time. If buyers complain -- for example, the game used a false thumbnail or is otherwise misleading -- then money will be refunded and the creator will make nothing.
Combined with thumbs up/thumbs down (and notice also that game creators *cannot* disable comments for paid access games), you'd have to be an idiot to make a deceptive paid access game...because you won't earn anything -- except the scorn of the community.

This is the complete opposite of what's going to happen. Most decent games wouldn't have paid access cause they want everyone to enjoy it. The only reason they would request paid access as if they are in testing mode but is still playable.
