This guide is required for every SOCOM Ranger to read. Information that will keep every SOCOM Ranger in line and out of trouble is listed and named here.
Chapter 1. Behavior
SOCOM Operatives and COs must be matured and behaved. The result of not following guide lines will result in punishment and suspension from duty. Simple Etiquette (Should have already learned) SOCOM Operators and COs will respond to their superiors with the following ONLY; "SIR YES SIR" "SIR NO SIR" "SIR UNDERSTOOD SIR" "SIR PERMISSION TO SPEAK SIR?" "SIR I MUST GO SIR" (If this is used and you are cuaght going somewhere that's not offline you will receive punishment for going A WALL) SOCOM Operators and COs will give respect to all other branches. Even if they are being disrespected. Disrespect is to be reported to the SGT MAJ. of SOCOM, The SOCOM XO, or the SOCOM CO. If none of those 3 are available, take it higher command. When a officer of higher rank is walking passed you. You will stop and salute him until he has passed behind you, or replied to your salute with a salute or "At ease" SOCOM Operators should always be alert of their surroundings, even if they're goofing off. (Which should not be done on duty or during raids). SOCOM Operators that are deployed to warzones (example: War on Water) If there is a higher ranking officer there commanding a battle against a raid. He may have access to the SOCOM Operators there. SOCOM Operators will be required to cooperate with personnel in charge of the area / base.
Chapter 2: Dress Code - IMPORTANT.
SOCOM May have different requirements than other branches. Beards allowed: Bearded Beanie (And the beard face. That is it) (Try to keep it as militaristic as possible) No foreign berets such as spetsnaz beret, or the Red Devils Beret. No hair that covers ears. (Except for females) No crazy silly hats. No Officer hats. (Except for officers) No helmets that are pre 1990s No pets. No large caps, or eggs. No T-shirts. No silly faces. No PMC Clothes (Unless special circumstances are present)
Chapter 3: Dialog / vocabulary.
If it is not absolutely needed avoid abbreviations. Do not say: ROFL, YOLO, SWAG or other obviously disliked sayings. Do not use excessive emoticons such as "!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Maybe 1, or 2. !s. Do not make faces. (Example: =D ) Do not flame other groups / clans. (Or branches for that matter) It makes SOCOM look bad and it makes you look immature.

@Dress Code: Rangers are not allowed to have beards. That's for SEALs and Delta only, since they go undercover on some operations. Rangers do not. They're an attack force.
Operators goof off all the time. Also, Rangers are not "operators." They are simply Rangers. Operators=Delta/SEALs. Rangers goof off too.
ROFL, YOLO, and SWAG are all LIKED sayings. 95% of people who use electronics say them. |
