~( World History )~
In a solar system far away from our own, there is a planet called Blackwood. The sun of Blackwood is a yellow star, much like Earth’s own. Like Earth, it is the third closest planet to the sun, however, unlike our own solar system, Blackwood’s system only contains four planets. They are Astra, Nemulon, Blackwood, Karevus, and Enilan. All but Blackwood are devoid of life. That is where our story will begin.
When time began, storms raged across all of Blackwood. The seasons were odd, as they could change in the blink of the eye. All was in chaos, and all was destroyed as quickly as it was built. It was so until from the skies the Spirits of the Seasons descended. Each spirit took control of the four elements, Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. They then used the elements to create a calm and habitable Blackwood. The Spirits then constructed a gargantuan temple on the top of the World Mountains. It had many pillars and columns, and the ceiling showed all of the stars in the sky as they danced above the head of the Spirits.
One year, the ground was torn asunder and from it came Balrog Generals, and their host of Demons and Gorgons. The Spirits and Elements worked together to fight and seal them away again. Centuries passed, and life on Blackwood changed and evolved. The giants were the first sentient species to roam the world, conquering mountains and drying up rivers by the mouthful. They soon left off in large boats to find new worlds, but they never returned. Next rose the race of Half-Giants, who were as intelligent as they were wild. Sadly, the race split into two kinds of giants, the civilized Minorem, and the barbaric Maiorem. Then came the Reptilendara and Quadrilon. They both shared a hatred for the undead, and attempted to destroy all of them, but the war dragged on too long and the undead eventually won. The undead formed Rottenskull, a kingdom of plague and disease. Decades passed, and a tiny crack appeared in the world again, and the Spirits with their Elemental slaves rushed to investigate. There, they discovered the Helnorens, a race that recently escaped from their demonic masters. They promised that they meant no harm to the land, and so the Spirits allowed them to live among the rest of the world.
~( Races )~ [Max means the amount of people that can be that race. This helps cut down on everyone being one race.]
[Max. 3]Reptilendra -- The Reptilendra are biological cousins to the Lizard-Men. Reptilendra males stand around five to seven feet tall, and females stand four to six feet tall. They have scales that come out in different pigments to form a variety of colors, patterns, and shapes. Common scale colors are yellow, white, green, black, green-blue, and dark greenish blue. Reptilendra live in the forests, their homes are usually in caverns, or in villages of huts made from wood, and straw or leaves. They are usually very friendly, and hospitable, taking in the weak of any race, and treating them with a special liquid called Zutt. This liquid is produced from a sac in a special gland which increases the speed of healing for cuts and major wounds.
Reptilendra also have special breathing gills on the sides of their neck, allowing them to breathe underwater. Most of their cities exist under the ocean, some other reside in caves and underground ecosystems.
They are armed with long claws used to scratch and cut up food and prey. A female's claws grow to five inches, while a male's grow to three. Reptilendras are rather quick, but lack some intelligence, they do well with a sword but prefer to use their claws.
[Max. 2]Nepton -- Neptons are creatures that usually inhabit broken down shop areas, shops themselves, home attics, and even the woodland areas within Blackwood. People often mistake them for automatons due to their relatively small stature and plain features. The average Nepton stand between one foot to one and a half feet tall. Neptons also have tan skin, and their skin does not grow lighter or darker. A few have been born with what they call the pale sickness. Those who suffer from it have skin that is solid white, and they rarely survive past childhood. Neptons who live in urban areas usually have large cities, or villages made out of anything they scavenge from pencils, paper, pieces of wood, to chalk.
[Max. 2]Quadrilon -- The Quadrilon are an odd race of creatures, as all males stand at exactly 7 feet, and all females at 6 and a half. No more, and no less. They have four arms, purple skin, and large craniums. Their hair color varies from black to teal, and their eyes are always the same color as their hair. They never have hair that is purple.
The Quadrilons are amazing builders and multitaskers. They're also naturally lean, and never get fat because of their quick metabolisim. They have mastered their own style of fighting, however, only the men are ever taught it. This style is called Quadzu. They use two arms to hold swords, or other one handed weapons, and the two arms hold small shields. They will lose their sense of balance if they lose an arm, and it can only be righted if the one on the other side is cut off as well. They will usually make their houses underground, as their brightly colored skin makes them easy prey to large animals. They're also naturally slow, and have poor sight in the daytime.
[Max. 1]Hell-Noren, HelNoren, Hel-Noren -- Hell-Norens joined the surface of Blackwood long ago, from the darkness of the fire realm. The Hell-Norens usually have skin that is a dark cripsy color, and it is usually a dark gray or black with patches of red and orange hot skin that glows. Female Hell-Norens who have matured stand anywhere from eight to ten feet tall, while the males stand from eleven to thirteen feet tall. On their foreheads are short stubby horns made from pure obsidian that is formed in their heads as children and slowly grow curved and strangely out.
These creatures do not have blood, instead when cut, ash pours out of the wound. This is because they are made entirely of ash, with hard obsidian organs. As Hell-Norens grow older from childhood to adulthood, they begin to grow another piece of obsidian on the outside of their body, sometimes on their shoulder, sometimes their knees, legs, arms, necks, and heads. It is considered a major plus and sometimes it is considered a major flaw.
Many Hell-Noren have had pieces of solid obsidian grow on their whole leg, immobilizing that leg. Hell-Norens have a weakness to the arctic and to water, if they stay in water long enough or cold long enough they will die, although cold does not affect them as much as water. This is because water is deadly to them, Causing them to avoid rain as much as possible. Hell-Norens are fireproof, no heat or high temperature can hurt them, as they came from the core of the planet.
[Max. 1/1] Dimi-Giganti (Half-Giants) -- The Dimi-Giganti's are said to be the decendants of the mythical Giants. The Half-Giants are divided into two groups, usually referred to as the Civil Half-Giants, and the Tribal Half-Giants. The two races of Half-Giants are friendly towards each other, but due to their differences they consider themselves two distinct races. These creatures mastered a type of metal, strong as iron, that is flexible enough for these huge creatures to use. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Minorem (Lesser) -- Full name Minorem Dimi-Giganti, but normally just referred to as Half-Giant none the less, sometimes the Civil Half-Giants [When comparing them to the Maiorem], as many do not care about their seperate races. They are called the Lesser Half-Giants because they are smaller than the Greater Half-Giants. They stand from 15 to 17 feet, and the males are normally on the shorter end compared to the females. The Minorem are less muscled than the Maiorems. They are known to have paler skin, and soft features. The Minorem while not nearly as strong as the Maiorems, they are naturally stronger than the average warrior. These creatures are extremely intelligent, and great arists, poets, and builders. They normally have light colored hair, like blondes, silvers, and light browns. They kill their fellow Minorems who grow past 18 feet, to ensure their race is distinquished from their larger counterparts. But recently, they haven't had to do much of it, because of the lack of tall partners over the large timespan. The Minorem women are extremely elegant and beautiful, and the males are handsome, but surprising the Maiorem males normally look better, probably because they are more masculine. The Minorem usually have dark blue or green eyes, and sometimes the odd bright yellow pops up. Their cities are among the greatest, as their buildings are made to even be able to house the Maiorem, and everything is normally made of marble. In the middle of their capital, Rahlar, a 100 foot statue of the father giant, Ralem, and while a 100 foot statue is amazing, it isn't as surprising as if the Quadrilons did it, it would be equal to them making a statue standing 35 feet.
Maiorem (Greater) -- Full name Maiorem Dimi-Giganti, normally referred to as simply Half-Giant, or when talking aboutbout a Maiorem and Minorem, the Tribal Half-Giant [As calling them Barbaric Half-Giants can be seen as somewhat offensive.] but not many pay attention to such terms, for the same reasons the Minorem are just called Half-Giants most of the time. These physical monstrosities are e large, with the average female height being 20-22, and the males 23-25. They are normally called Barbaric, which is not true, well not really. Theyy have a more tribal community, with their leader being called a Chief [Or Chieftan] and their society being more male based. The males of the Maoirem are naturally huge and bulky, and handsome with their naturally chizeled features, and rugged look. The females, are normally more muscled than the average female, and normally not very curvy. This is not to say they are not good looking, but they are just not on par with the Minorem Females. The stronger and beefier of males, sometimes reach unnatural muscle porportions. They have darker tans, andnd the majority of the population have shades of red eyes, but on occasion a blue or green with pop up. Their hair is always a dark color, blacks, dark browns, and sometimes even a dark grey color. The males are known to grow their hair out to about shoulder length. Thhey kill all Maiorem who are shorter than 19 feet, and sometimes males who are 20 and on occasion males who are 21 are killed at the age of 18 because being short is seen as a disgrace, especially for males, and they like to keep a fine line between them and the Minorem. These creatures are believed to share a close spiritual connection with the Giants of Blackwood, and that helps explain for how they act sometimes.
[Max. 3]Q'azar (Scumhounds) -- Three hundred years ago a strange portal had opened up and thousands of Q'azar poured out from it. A few years later, the portal disappeared. Nobody returned. Although the Q’azar never speak of their home world, they are considered hellspawn. The unscrupulous members of the other races call them Scumhounds.
When the Q'azar were discovered, they were captured and brought into slavery in which they were used as packmules.
[Max. 3] R'azar (Aklk' ak 'Frktaas) -- Long before the portal that brought the Scumhounds to Blackwood, another similar circle appeared to suck a portion of the sky into a fiery red abyss. It hung over the mountains to the north. From the abyss came creatures of nightmare. They were called "R'azar". The are dangerous, blood-thirsty savages from the very heart of evil. They are large, shelled, with rock-hard exo-skeletons and many clawed arms. They also have thin wedge shaped heads are accompanied by beady sunken eyes and a large bulbous mouth that ripples with thousands of razor-sharp teeth. Blackwood's most prized mages and scholars died before the silvery blade of their wicked scimitars and curved sickles. The magic that was held so highly esteemed proved to be useless against the bloodlust of the R'azar.
After many grueling years of war, these beings finally quenched their thirst for battle, making a home in the secluded mountains where they were first given entry to our world, before being forced out by the Borgan Empire. Some R'azar sane enough to control their violence, have been accepted by society, soldiering or in demand of many armies across the realm. These R'azar, however frail-looking, stand eight feet tall, and are born with iron-strong exoskeletons. Despite having mandibles fit for communication of complex arrays of clicks and taps, the R'azar have also learned to communicate through slow, drawling sentences.
[Max. 1] Elkar -- The Elkar are a large species who live in the humid, marshy areas of Blackwood. They have a blocky, muscular build. Their body is mostly dirt colored, although their head is dark green, and occasionally there are patches of light green throughout its body. On the body grows an exotic flower, the Elk Flower that will kill anything. It appears harmless at first, with small yellow buds spread on its body with a bright orange center, and a pleasant aroma. When threatened the Elkar will release a poison from the flower, which rots the enemy from every orfice. The Elkar feel threatened easily, and believe any species other than its own near its home is trying to harm it, and it will attack. The Elkar lack much intelligence, but more than make up for it in athletics. The Elkar can run on almost any terrain, however it prefers marshlands, and can run for an extremely long time without stopping. They can lift heavier weights as well. The Elkar are fairly recluded, and do not have much contact with the outside world. They stand from 5'11 to 6'1.

~( Mythology )~
( Seasonal Spirits )
Long ago it is said that four ancient beings evolved with the abilities to change the seasons, and create weather, these are the Seasonal Spirits. who came from the sky and calmed the raging seasons. The Seasonal Spirits are immortal beings that live on the tip of the world mountains in their sacred Star Temple, where they decide what weather or seasonal event shall occur, and even have large debates in which causes storms, frequently. The first Spirit is S'tualaman, the Seasonal Spirit of summer, the Letter with a ' after it indicates their title, the first letter of what season the reign over and control. The second is S'ygstett, the Seasonal Spirit of Spring, S'ygstett and S'tualaman are brother and sister, S'tualaman being the brother. The summer spirit is known as looking like a floating mass of leaves with giant iron rings around what are his hands, his sister looks like a glowing pink humanoid spirit with illustriously glowing hair. The third of the Season Spirits is W'qeutniim the spirit of winter, he is seen as a giant bearing light blue skin, a ten foot shaggy white beard, corn-rolled white hair with golden rings, and deep magenta eyes, on his left hand is a dark blue gauntlet which he calls the Myriad, legends say inside the gauntlet is a mythical world of small little creatures that have built their world inside the workings of the gauntlet, he never flexes the fingers inside his gauntlet. The fourth and final spirit is A'ejinnak, the spirit of Autumn, she is known to be a beautiful HelNoren with deep cyan eyes, and a burning passion for all races. These four spirits make up the council of the Season Spirits, they also grant magical essences to all who complete the quests of which they are given.
( Dragons of The Sky )
Dragons are ancient, mystical beings that exist in Blackwood. It is said that dragons existed around the time the Seasonal Spirits came into Blackwood. They are repitilian, there body length is typical around 75-90 feet, they usually have 100-135 foot wingspans as well as there height reaching around 55-70 feet, as they are known for, dragons of Blackwood can breathe blazing hot fires, poisonous toxins, and other things such as frost breathe, and acid. Dragons of Blackwood typically live in the mountains where they have nests. Birthing of gender in dragons is decided by the mother, if they want a male dragon they will keep the egg under hot, constant flame, if they want a female, they will keep it under a low, constant flame. The flame underneath the dragon is what keeps the egg warm, and helps increase development speed, and they would die if they got too cold.
Dragons are mysterious. They are seen lots of times flying throughout the skies, but are rarely seen on the ground. It is said long ago dragons and the races of blackwood battled in the skies for decades, how the races were in the sky was lost, some say the dragons split, some siding with the races, some rebels. Others myths say an ancient winged race called the Ynha lived with the dragons, but betrayed them for gold. The dragons angered by there betrayal, they went to war, and left the Ynha race extinct.
( Mystical Woodland Beings )
There are lots of mystical beings. Typically satyrs, unicorns, and frogliths. Frogliths are giant toads that eats just about any living creature. A feared creature is the white swans, they are usually in lakes, do not let them fool you. If you anger the white swan, you will be cursed with a uncurable sickness, the disease is known to rot the flesh, and cause giant blisters on the skin. It does not kill you, it is said it is to bear the pains for punishment of causing anger to a white swan. Most mythological woodland creatures exist here, ugly or beautiful the worlf put them here to be here, it is in nature to have the most beautiful of creatures, and the ugliest of so as well.
( Giants of Blackwood ) -
The great Giants of Blackwood. Legend says they are impossibly strong, and stand at over 50 feet. The Giants of Blackwood share a close spiritual bond with their Half-Giant kin, namely the Maiorem. The taller and more giant like a Half-Giant is, the more respect is gained from the Giants, who refer to those few the 'Parva-Giganti', or Small Giants. It is said, in the Half-Giants time of need, their pleas for help will be answered by the Giants themselves, ready to protect their little brethern. Giants have existed in the mountains, and forests of blackwood for millenia and millenia, they age extremely slow, hundreds of hundreds of years only amount to months to them. There is one Giant, who is not like the rest. He is the father giant, Ralem. Standing at between 75 and 100 feet, depending on what the story says. What is known is he four arms, his strength is comparable to that of atleast four giants combined, and he is said to be able to easily jump a mountain. Ralem is wise, immortal, and skin stronger than stone. Ralem is quite possibly the most feared creature in exsistance.
( Elemental Spirits )
Elemental spirits are lesser spirits of the seasonal spirits. Instead, they control the elements fire, water, earth, and air. Elemental spirits are a mass of spiraling elements of their type, with iron braces on their hands, and a face made from whatever elemnt type they are. They can, like the season spirits, grant people essences of the elements, which have limited uses.
(Castle of the Heavens)
It has been told at many campfires in the depth of night that in some desolate mountains lies a grand staircase shrouded in mist. These steps were known as the entrance to the Castle of the Heavens, a place where long-dead heroes and adventurers ascend to eternal glory and peace. Deep within the castle's keep, put under the guard of mighty spirits, is said to hold the answer to meaning of life.
The R'azar scholar Arkanzt' Ak 'Fortst Rt' Baaklt (Scholar of Clan Fortst, Bakkle) describes the the majestic towers of the Castle of the Heavens from a vivid dream: surrounded by pure white clouds are four glistening red-capped turrets connected by walls miles long and hundreds of feet high-- the epoch of justice, power, and authority for the good of all life. Manning the huge defenses are what he calls "The Royal Guard to Heaven," or "Kaltk' a 'Baltk Allnd" (Guard of the Royal Afterlife,) a grand contingent of Quadrilon and Q'azar troops clad in misty white armor.
Yet the Castle is not open to just anyone who wishes to venture there, now; the magical barriers prevent everyone but a man or a woman that, regardless of mortal sins, truly hold good in their heart neither for merit or selfish gain. The gates to the Heavens are not only--oddly at that--guarded by R'azar paladins; what lies inside the Castle's magical walls will test every beings skill and worthiness.
( Fallen Angels )
Many a traveller knows of the treachery of the people who lurk the forests and swamps, the beings who glide around in the shadows of the mountains and the shade of the caves. The Fallen Angels were once majestic, beautiful beings that defended the Heavens, humanoids who patrolled the skies on two white wings stencilled in a variety of colorful patterns. These almost surreal creatures were the highest of the Heaven races until the Leaders of the Heavens were known of their corruption. The once-Angels had not shared their gift of flight and their spoils to the other protectors as promised, and had lied when confronted by them. Because of their decietful actions, the once great beings were cast into the mortal realm of Blackwood, banished from the Gates of Heaven for all eternity. Beautiful faces became twisted expressions, wan and filled with worts and wrinkles; two clean wings, a distinctive trademark of the now-Fallen, became one, dirty and crooked.
The Fallen Angels are told to be xenophobic, sharp claws and talons having grown on their hands, and feet. Despite their curse of being damned to toil on land, the Fallen have adapted themselves, able to glide for a short time and decorate their single wing with blades and shrapnel. They are not to be underestimated.
( Ghosts & Witches )
Ghosts in blackwoods are natural creatures, not souls of the lost. They typically roam aroudn the world at their own pace, never aging. Witches are vile creatures that use herbs and other things to cure, poison, and curse people. Typical curse is the Frogskin disease which rots a persons skin if they do not obey the witch, frogskin is just a natural occuring bacteria which can be spread if a witch scratches someone, but can be cured by a witches tongue mixed with grape wine, applied to the diseased area once every seven hours for two days.
( Lizard-Men )
Lizard-Men are the ancestors of the reptilendra, actually they are their closely related cousins, but are the last of the Elder Lizard species that roamed blackwood ages ago. Lizard-Men stand around 13ft to 15ft tall, they are stout and typically have a musculary body, they are only hospitable to their cousins the reptilendra, any other races or being are considered hostile and will be attacked. They are not rare, but they do not mingle with the outside world, hundreds of thousands of them live in blackwood, living in their tribes all over, why they never mixed with modern society is unknown. They and the reptilendra speak the same language.
( Gorgons & Balrogs & Demons )
[Gorgons] Gorgons are giant snakes with twin reptilendra heads, one breathes out a ignitable gas, while the other breathes sparks to light the gas. Gorgons are unique, half of their body contains bloood that will cure any disease, sickness, or problem. The other half will instantly kill anything, immortal or not. Once the seasonal spirit W'qeutniim was wounded and had killed a gorgon, he drunk the blood of the gorgon which was the good blood and it had healed him, he then noticed and recorded how half the blood cures, while the other half kills. Gorgons, like Balrogs and Demons, ands Helnorens, came from the fire realms, which is molten lava fiels and volcanoes underground of blackwood, only habitable by the four races which created it millenia ago.
[Balrogs] Straight out of imagination they are, but real. Balrogs stand a staggering fifty seven feet exactly, their body is made from ash, black burnt stone, sulfur, magma, and other various things. Balrogs are born from volcanoes, their bodies forming over three thousand years then being harvested by demons and gorgons. Hundreds of them inhabit the fire realm. It is said the Balrogs are the bane of giants, for one day the two would clash and hell would break loose upon blackwood. Balrogs have giant wings made from black bone, ash, and magma which they use to fly with, like elementals and season spirits, the balrogs can use fire essence which makes their body work and run.
[Demons] Another race that inhabits the fire realm. They are the intelligence race, they have myriads of cities clothed in ancient technology and fire essence, using automatons and other types of machines. They are the stereotypical demon, dark red skin, black obsidian horns, green eyes, rotten teeth, little miniature unusable wings, they also carry red hot blazing pitchforks to fight with.
( Yetis )
The beasts of the north, the snowmen, the Yetis; the creatures are all called these things. They are big, standing at around 15 feet, but female Yetis are smaller around 12 feet, with a much less Yeti like look that most think of when someone thinks of a Yeti. The females are curvy, only have a thin, short, transparent layer of hair over their skin, making it look glossy. The males, are big, and furry. In short, they look like an angry bipedal polar bear, except bigger. Known to eat anything that breaths and moves, these things can be dangerous. Commonly attacking in the night, or near mountains where the Yetis call home. They have large square, razor sharp teeth, and claws that reach up to a foot, used to grasp and climb better in the snowy terrain.
( Jolly Ol' Kriss Kringle )
An ancient myth believed by many children throughout Blackwood, one night of the year, Kringle delivers gifts to the well-behbehavied children. He is depicted with a chubby complexion, a large, bushy mustache, and red glowing hair. He is guarded by Bellmancers, who destroy or pick off anyone who wish to do harm to him. The good children who he puts on his list of fortune recieve many a good tidings, and presents. The bad who are put on the list of evil, get lumps of coal or dead frogs, as the tale goes. Noone has ever seen him, but people know he is real from mysterious gifts always appearing to the best and good children each and every Krissmas.
( Hellhounds )
Imagine a muscular wolf, devoid of fur and skin, showings its bulging, throbbing muscles and its bloodthirsty teeth and stare. Hellhounds typically live in caves near volcanoes, so they can obtain its warmth and stay alive. These hellish creatures are nocturnal, known for attacking isolated caravans and herds of animals with great numbers in the depth of night. Speculated to have been first spawned by the Undead to help fuel the wars against the Quadrilon and the Reptilendra during the establishment of Rottenskull, the Hellhounds were set free by their masters to stir unrest and disturb trade through the realm of Blackwood. Now breeding their kin by the numbers across the land, these vicious creatures are highly feared and respected for their strength.
(Philidia, the Windcaster)
Something wanders the grassy stretches of the realm, the rolling plains of the land. She comes with the certainty of a wind or a storm; just a shadow that always flashes in the corner of your eye when your all alone. The Windcaster Philidia was once known as a simple camp girl, following and serving caravans that ran the uncharted routes of the wilderness. She became known for her miracles of guarding these unlucky groups through the worst of times, diverging rain and dust storms that ravaged the Flat of Blackwood year-round. It was then that young Philidia discovered her natural affinity to reading the air and the earth, and her magic able to modify those elements at to its core. Yet with fame came hypocracy and treachery. Many people began to learn her secret, and it wasn't soon until the Windcaster, barely 18 years of age, was sentenced to hanging for witchcraft and sorcerery by the very people she had saved. That day, the crowd that had attended her death by the noose that morning to stone her body could not describe what had happened: a long breeze began to stir, it's soft tendrils beginning to howl with rage as it transformed into storm. By the time the tempest had died down and moved on, Philidia had been carrried away by the only friend she had left. After 20 years, she is rumored to control the weather of the Flat of Blackwood, riding the wind and controlling its destructive rage. Where the dead of winter strikes all around, the flats are always alive-- always windy. If one or a band of people shall pass through her domain, the Windcaster Philidia may let you through unharmed or make sure you never reach your location alive. "Tread carefully at her feet and do not test her power, for you will become one of two things in the Windcaster's court: alive and well by her blessing or trapped, cast away and engulfed by the inevitable storm-- the calling of your doom."
-Saultaoro, Minorem poet, philosopher, and political figure.
( White Bird of The Future )
The white bird of the future is by far the most mysterious creature that exists in all of Blackwood itself. The bird is a simple robin, except its feathers are solid white, and its eyes are blood red, with black talons. The white bird is sought out by many, but little to none find it, for everytime it is found it moves to a new location, never in the same spot twice. The white bird has the ability to look at the threads of time, indicating which strand of time we are flowing into, and what major events will happen next for you, it can also tell you a riddle of what your future will be if you ask a question about it. Once a lonely alchemist asked the bird "Will I ever love?" for he was a heartless man, the bird looked at him "You will find love, oh yes indeed. Expecting not what you're thinking, it will be true, she'll fall for you, but will you fall for her?" with that the bird lifted off into the sky, never to be seen again by the alchemist who found love with a reptilendra, whom he loved too.
The bird was given the ability to see the strands of time by a reaper, in return for a secret. The secret was so powerful they say that the reaper would give anything for it, the bird wanted to see the future, so they traded and the bird was tricked, but still got what it wanted. The bird became blind, and forever lost within seeing the strands of time, never again to the see the outside world of Blackwood. The bird soared throughout Blackwood, giving away the future to all who could pay the price, a solid silver chain. After a decade the bird became bored, and made the challenge for the future harder, the bird said "All who wish for your future told. Search wide and low, for I shall be hiding. If you find me, I shall tell you your future!" with that the bird left the people, and hid itself for the people to find, which they never did.
( Valkyrie Maidens )
The beautiful Valkyrie Maidens. Mysterious and mystical, these spirits are known for their ability to influence the decisions of people. Always with soft features, and long platinum blond hair, most of them let their hair flow free, but others Valkyrie's braid their hair. The maidens wear a steel winged helmed, and normally stand at 8 to 9 feet and are quite elegant. Masters at fighting with whips, and shortswords, they are swift and graceful. Maidens each have two hearts, and can only be killed by being pierced in each one at the same time, but can be incapacitated for long periods of time from other injuries. They act like guardian angels, each person having a Valkyrie Maiden, who help influence their decisions. Sometimes, strong people can call their Valkyrie to themselves. Valkyries live in another dimension known as the Valkyrie Realm, it is a realm where the essences of magic roam free, and where the Valkyrie govern there world. It is said the Valkyries cities are made of the purest gold and gems, and are advanced beyond comprehension.
( Forest Bulls )
Forest bulls are rare creatures that inhabit the forests of Blackwood. They have dark red skin, and thick black obsidian horns. They are usually about seven feet tall, and are big and muscular, most fear them. They are the Hunters Prize, only the most courageous of hunters and trackers face down these beasts, and little often do they succeed.
Most forest bulls are timid. They are stereotyped as mean, brutish creatures, when they are really gentle, and hospitable,
( The Reapers )
The Reaper. Four of them. All of them bond to the essence of Blackwood itself. Each of them different, yet the same. Dralen, the powerful, Malric, the wise, Edmar, the snake, and Colvut, the honest. First, I should explain how this came to be. One day, four childhood friends, Dralen, Malric, Edmar, and Colvut, who became travelers. They adventured the lands for six years, Dralen, the brave, strong and leader of the group, Malric, the smart, creative, and friend of the Dralen, Edmar, the con, deceitful, and charming, and finally Colvut, the saint, young, and kind. They stumbled upon a cave, and after entering, the floor caved in, and the four slid into darkness. They awoke, within the very heart of the planet and met a man, old and withering. He was old and dying, and was waiting for someone to come and take his job. He couldn't decide which of the four should be chosen, so he split the power into four equals. With the power balanced between them, it wouldn't completely overcome their mortal bodies.
Over time, deals were struck, broken, and death was caused. The Reapers all have the power to stop, speed up, slow down people and their aging process. They are immortal, and invincible, but can only do their job, unable to roam as freely as the others. The Reapers, though, are not equal in power. By striking deals, making friends, and doing what they had to do, the Reapers were able to become stronger than one another.
Colvut, standing at 6 feet, thin, smooth, porcelain skin, and a baby face. While the majority of the time, if you see a Reaper, and ask him for a deal, he'll agree, Colvut, normally starts the deal, not the other way around. He never breaks a deal, unless you cheat him. Only the darkest of souls can cheat Colvut, because of his sincere, cute face, and loving personality, but even the darkest usually see no point in turning on Colvut . Edmar, 6 and a half feet tall, lean, slight tan, and a sly look. Edmar is hweedandsome, and surprising one of the weakest reapers, only stronger than Colvut, though he strikes the most deals. Impossibly charming, it is hard not to listen to him. Almost always breaking his deals, it is like he is a conpulsive deal maker.
Malric, 8 feet, wiry, medium tan, a large beard, and slightly aged looking. He only makes deals for knowledge, and the one piece of knowledge he lacks but wants, is the secret the White Bird gave to Edmar, who than traded it to Dralen. He will break deals if he is in a bad mood, but won't if he is in a good one.
Dalren, 10 feet, beefy, a dark tan, and chizeled features. He is the most powerful Reaper, rarely trading, and only trading on the good stuff, he has made good choices, with a little help from his friend Malric. Dalren, is the only one not completely afraid of the giants, which is why the age at all.
( Undead & Zombies )
Zombies are similar to the undead, and the undead are similar to the zombies. Unlike in most movies where these two are depicted as stupid, actually zombies and the undead are smart, they even have their own governing kingdom called Rottenskull. Zombies are creatures which were cursed before they died, and came back to life as a nightmare with rotting skin, hanging flesh, visible bones, and a cracky, unsettling voice. The undead are creatures which have came alive after all there organs, and skin and flesh has gone away, they are just living skeletons. Both Zombie and Undead used to rule the kingdom of Rottenskull in the forbidden lands to the west. With help of the R'azar Tribes, the undead kingdoms waged a constant war with the reptilendra until their rival's alliance with the Quadrilions forced their downfall nearly half a century ago. With the help of trade and aid from the R'azar, the undead are slowly regaining control of their homelands.
The first zombie was summoned by a necromancer whoms name has been long since forgotten in the vast books of history. He practiced for years trying to summon creatures to life and he perfected it, writing down in a book which today is known as the legendary "Necropedia" that contains lost secrets of the magic, and the arts of necromancy. The zombie awakened after he casted the spell and said "What is your commands master." the master used him to torture villages and ward off enemies, until the zombie turned on him, biting him in the middle of the night and turning him into a zombie as well. They were the first zombies that infected the nearby tribes, and creating the Rottenskull kingdom, which holds hundreds of thousands of undead abominations.
( The Living Maze )
The living maze is an underground series of everchanging tunnels, they never stay still, and they are never the same pattern twice. In the center of the maze is said to be enough gold to run the world forever, there is also ancient and mystical weapons. The prison is living, when you enter you have to go forward, if you give up the search the prison will drop you at the entrance, one man, Jyrll Veuthan never returned, some say he made it, others say he went mad and died of starvation, noone knows.
The prison was said to be a natural living creature, not constructed by anyone or anything, it was just there. It is ancient, the maze says it is older than the seasonal spirits which came here during the time of chaos and calmed down the storms and season changes, and put them all in order.

~( Magic & Spells )~
Types of Magic -- There are hundreds of sub-types of magic, but there are four main categories of magic, the symbols next to them are their symbols, which are used to inscribe magic unto items and other things:
Earth ?,?
Fire ?
Water ?,?
Air §
Trap ? (The circle which a rune goes in to make a magic trap)
How to cast spells -- First off, you must have magic essence, how to obtain them is described on another index page. Spells flow through one hand, and come out the hole that is formed when you first gain a magical essence. In your thoughts you can try and form the fire, or whatever element you are summoning how you want. The amount of that element you wish to summon, and the complexity of the spell both play a factor in how much magic is drained, so cast wisely.
Runes -- Runes are the symbols of the elements. Runes can help intensify magic by inscribing them in Mystic Rings, or enchant armor weapons, and even create traps my placing a large rune symbol on the ground in the middle of a large circle. Creating patterns with runes, or unique designs can also create a magic affect.
Tomes -- Tomes are large books that typically hold spells, potions, ingredients, and other various magical things that wizards like to keep track of. Living tomes are magic books that can cast magic on their own, only the most powerful of wizards can create these, even so the art of living tome magic is one that is known by very few.
Mystic Rings -- Rings are jewel rings with runes inscibed onto the jewel. When worn, it intensifies the power of the element the rune was of, and can intesify the magic when used. Mystic rings are very expensive, and are hard to make, the inscribing period usually fails when used on a jewel, so they are worth alot. Magic rings in fact to do not just intensify the magic, the gem can be enchanted to hold souls, or magic entities. Some powerful mages long ago discovered that powerful gems such as diamond and amethyst, when enchanted, can encase or trap the soul/spirit of an elemental of that element. When the elemental is trapped it is forced under a prewritten contract in which the elemental must obey every single command you give them. Encasing the souls of human beings or creatures into a ring makes them an ethereal beings, they become a light blue, transparent version of themselves, like an elemental, they must obey all your commands.
Enchanted Weapons & Armor -- Enchanting a piece of armor or weapn is easy, if you are a wizard. All you do is copy the rune symbol down onto the armor or weapon. If written on armor, it gives the armor resistance to that element, if you write it on a weapon, it gives a plus to the weapon of the element. Sometimes catching a sword aflame, a mace of ice, an arrow of swiftness, or even a knife that creates plants. The diversity of what enchanting does depends on the combinations, some creating unnecessary or unneeded things like a sword of steam or a cloak of wood, others create weapons with awesome power, or armor that a god would wear.
How to Obtain Magic Essence-- There is only one true way to obtain a magic essence, well known way, there could be more. The known way is to be given it by an Elemental, or Seasonal Spirit. Usually you'll have to complete their quests to be bestown the power essence of magic. Their quests are not easy, it usually involves finding a rare object lost for thousands of years, or fighting a menacing foe that threatens them.
Expanding Magic -- As you use your magic, the more you draw from, the more it increases. When you run out of magic, the amount you can use increases, it is like a natural give and take, you get tired and exhausted for using large amounts of magic, in return the amount of magic you use increases slightly, or a lot, depening on how much you use exactly at the given time. When, and if you use more magic than you have, you will burn to a crisp. But to burn to a crisp requires using tons more than you have, if you just use a fair amount, it is possible that using magic will no longer be able to be used, this is because you have drawn more magic then allowed from the essence, therefore shutting the essence down. When this happens you must obtain a new essence.
Magic Dissabilities -- When you obtain a magic essence and use it for the first time something permanent will happen to you. Your thumb on your dominant hand, or your right hand if you are a true ambidextrous person, will slide across until it is under your main fingers, looking like the foot of a crow except a little different you could say. A hole in the flesh will happen, above the thumb and below the fingers. The magic flowing through your veins will cause your hand and lower forearm's veins to bulge out of the skin. Using the 'crow-hand' as people call it to do other things besides casting magic is limited. Using lots of magic can deplete you of energy, and sometimes have permanent affects such as depression, or suicide. Eating fruits, vegetables, drinking water, will restore your magic.

(If you wanted more than this, just say so)
Name: Ersbur Serald Alias/Nick?: Current Age: ??? (if age actually affects them, 45, if not then much higher like 120) Gender: Male Race: ]Hell-Noren Height: 13 feet tall. Weight: 300 pounds Armor: Steel plates (Do I have a choice?) Weapons: A 7 foot long blood red greatsword. Personality: Vicious, he likes to torment and play with his prey before putting it out of its misery. He rarely teams up with Quadrilons unless for his own benefit, infact he could almost be called r@cist against Quadrilons in general. Biography: Grew up in blackwood, he has never seen the fire realm. He grew up and had many run-in's with Quadrilons and they were rarely good. Through that, he began developing a hatred specifically against them, more so than his natural hatred. Etc:

[The problem with his epic-looking RPs is: So far, none of them have gone past 25 pages. (At least, that I've seen. If there are few, change the the word "none" to "most" or "almost all". So far, none of them got more than 5 people who were NOT part of the collaborators. So far, most of the RP forum is too lazy to ready even two paragraphs of that wall.
This is why I gave up on these type of RPs.] |

Name: Daniel Slovaz Alias/Nick?: (What's this for?) Current Age: I'm going to say young adult, as in 20-25 in Nepton years. Gender: Male Race: Nepton Height: A foot and then some. Weight: (I ain't too knowing on the whole american weight system, so I'd need a touch of help.) Armor: Two nice leathery layers, with some chainmail in between. Pants are simply leather, nothing more. Shoes are nothing fancy, sown back together many times. Weapons: A knife. Short but useful for cutting things like rope. Personality: Not too kind to strangers, but if he finds you injured, he might offer to help if you aren't too intimidating. Biography: A healer who likes to help adventurers out when they pass by, for the price of one tale. He'd like to adventure with people, but thinks he'd be a burden because of his size. Etc: Lives in a little tavern near one of Blackwood's forests. [CLASS: Healer. PROFESSION: Herbalism]
