| Bad although windows 8.1 may make it slightly more usable on non-touchscreen computers. I recommend you stick with or use windows 7 instead. |

| get Windows 7. It's better. Unless you'd wait for Microsoft to actually make 8 better for PCs,Laptops, etc. |

| There are great 3rd party programs (most of which are fairly inexpensive) that make 8 better. There WILL be updates to make it more desktop friendly-I don't know much about 8.1. I'd say 8 if you can afford it. |

I'm able to put up with it, just install Classic Shell or Vistart and run old stuff in Compatibility Mode. That said, there's positively no reason not to just get Windows 7 instead and save yourself the hassle. |

| It really doesn't take very long to get used to. You only really have to see the phone/tablet styled layout when you first turn on the machine or when you're searching for files (the latter is actually a pretty nice feature) |
