If you turn on Lighting.GlobalShadows and you put the TimeOfDay at 00:00:00 you always end up in complete darkness. Although there is still a moon that ain't giving any light which it should, it only gives a reflection. My idea was adding a transparent brick in the direction of the moon compared to my map and add a spotlight to that to make that serve as a moonlight source. The problem with that is the maximum range of a spotlight, the light doesn't reach the ground.
Is there a way to make a decent moonlight? |

At 4:00 and 5:00 there ain't no moon at all in the sky above my map. It's not that I don't want a moon, I just want it to give decent lighting. |

| Try putting in a spot light in the air and make it shine on the ground. |

| Make it closer to the ground. If you want the light everywhere, add lots of spot lights. |

@tye It would make it look ugly if it was everywhere. I would say a brick which follows you.

Try playing with the brightness property.
If you can place the moon at a time when it is still visible, yet gives out some light, you can multiply it through the brightness property. |

Not really shadows but just a big pointlight that enlights the map as the moon should. If you make it night, put global shadows off it all turns dark which it shouldn't because there is a big moon in the sky. For a place I've been working on that moonlight is quite necessary so you can still have the look that it is midnight but still see something of the map (it's in a forest, there ain't no lights, except for the moon). |

Mess with the ambience. Specifically, Outdoor Ambience. It handles how dark it is outside, making it lighter should give a Moonlight Effect.

Nice darkero, that's about the same as what I was looking for. Never used that ambient property before. |
