actually is not true not all games require you to roleplay you can play games without giving the slightest thought as to how your character would respond, or in some games you're forced to go with a certain decision without having any say in it at all
this is not roleplaying |

"Exactly you can play games without thinking but any of them can be role played."

"In MW2 You can choose whether or not to execute the arms dealer when he's tied up."
i don't think you understand the concept of roleplaying
"You can pretend you're the main character. That's roleplaying."
it's only roleplaying if you actually make choices if all you're doing is pretending to be x and doing y with no z as an alternate choice, it's not
"Well, What if your playing Civilization or any other type of Strategy game?"
i would legitimately call that roleplaying considering you have many choices to make in those that can drastically change the outcome of everything |

| Not all soldiers find killing as easy and you can display this in games. |

Yes, it is. You can imagine you're taking on the role of the main character, which IS roleplaying. |

| there are typically minor choices, but nothing that majorly effects the character or the outcome of the game (or at least not many of them) |

| There is a moment in MW1 where a farmer is being harassed by Russian Troops and you have a choice to save the farmer or let him die. |

pretty much everything you're listing are just minor choices that don't effect the game in any way
even then, in rpgs the minor choices tend to effect your game somehow |
