I mean, that's 13 years of your existence. If you lived in a civilized country and were 10 years old, you'd probably be smart enough to work a computer and learn not to break the rules, in exchange for freedom to the chat system. And, obviously, the fact that so, so, so many people fake their age on Roblox. The target area is about 7-12 years old. I think you should lower the age limit for privacy options, as blacklisting and diminishment of freedom is already in place. |

If you are mature enough when you are 10, you can wait until you are 13 to chat.
I didn't though, because I wasn't. April 4, 2008, my first day, there were no full bdays intergrated in the site, just >13 and <13.
I was 11 and a half, I lied about my age so I could chat, but anyways, I could change it back and forth in the account section without having to confirm anything with a parent.
BTW, if your parent's email is verifying your acc, you can use to to email roblox to toggle your safe chat settings without changing your age. |

Just because some kids live in civilized places, that does not conclude that everybody lives in said location. Those who are 13 years old are teens and should be old and mature enough to know what is right and what's not. 10 years is not enough to undergo maturity, so I am sorry to say: no support. |

Oh, and "el" and 'la' are translated to "the". Examples are: 'el perro = the dog', 'la chica = the girl'. |

Ross, You may offend somebody by incorrectly using their language for humorous purposes. There's one example of age restriction. -.- |

| I support, what most modern adults dont understand is that we, growing in a technilogical age have learned more and more respect, meaning respect for rules (as long as they are fair) for some reason adults think they opposite, but sadly I fear that if they do this all the parents with the mind equivalent to a potato will be thinking badly of the roblox staff for using, as they would say. "The horrid and evil LOGIC". |

what's the point
the age system is just their so roblox won't get sued and to make the site look "kid friendly"
roblox knows everyone fakes their ages, it's just there for the sake of the company, money, and business. |

| Someone's maturity doesn't necessarily depend on their age, someone very young could be far more mature than an adult. I think it's better if the parent decides entirely whether someone could chat or not, your parents should know if your mature enough for the internet. |

I think otherwise.
Look at ROBLOX, people make alts to spam, cuss, scam and hack.
This is not to mention other websites.
There have also been people IRL who act horrible to their parents, because they don't get the technology they want. |

"A person's age does not determine maturity." No. It does, but partially. You cannot expect (note, 'expect') a younger kid to maturely know what is right and what's not. 13 years of age should be the common age to realize maturity, not 10.
The Roblox staff are far more mature than any of us here and are far more intelligent. In a business, you need to calculate things: income, moderation, etc. And they believe this is a correct decision.
And if people can fake ages, what is the point of this thread? It is not needed.
And disrespecting the Roblox staff with biased claims is highly immature. See why there are age restrictions, Ross? |

| Um, I'm much more mature than the staff. Trust me. I'm not greedy like them. Being greedy is immature. |

Drago, I'm speaking about the majority. You don't see most of the Roblox population over 20 years old, do you? No. I stated: "The Roblox staff are far more mature than any of us here and are far more intelligent. In a business, you need to calculate things: income, moderation, etc."
And, no, they are not greedy. They need to earn money.
It is immature to announce biased claims, as you did. It is also immature to take things literally (instead of understanding).
Anyway, as shown, age restrictions are important. |

There is no reasons to further any arguments. What the Roblox staff does is what they do.
If Roblox was easy on their players, parents would get upset. |
