Why ROBLOX makes an asset of that type when you upload a youtube video onto ROBLOX?

Maybe future plans for watching videos in-game :o? |

Probably has to do with it having to be moderated before it's available (just like images for shirts, pants, decals, groups, etc).
That way, they can whitelist/blacklist user-uploaded content and they don't have to moderate it again every time it's uploaded. |

@Merely
Such as HTML/Avatar/etc, right? But I'm wondering why they're making that asset (YouTubeVideo). Possible what GigsD4X's said?
In addition to HTML AssetTypes, I only found one HTML AssetType: http://www.roblox.com/HTML-item?id=91367378

That's actually a script. "Text" assets are used to contain scripts that can arbitrarily be inserted into other items. |

| Actually, what I said in my previous post isn't exactly right: "Text" assets are used to contain models which are arbitrarily inserted into other items, but these models are usually used to insert scripts in these items. I think that's what clockwork's teapot uses, but I'm really not sure. |

That's actually HTML content; the one you posted is a piece of HTML that was in fact taken on tarabyte's profile, while logged in the ROBLOX account.
It appears that administrators (or at least the ROBLOX account) can impersonate users by going on their profile page and clicking an impersonate button; wasn't aware of that. |

| Maybe HTML assets were used back in the days of HTMLService... |

It's a model, which in fact is a hat. I suppose a model was used in order to be able to put a script in it.
@uyjulian
tarabyte's was uploaded 9 months ago... the HTMLService doesn't exist since many years. |

| I'm sure it exists, it's just hidden. There are probably many, many "services" that we haven't even seen. There's probably a GeometryService. |

@NVI
I realize that not everything is actually documented in the API dump (there are some very rare hidden features), but pretty much everything is. |
