(TL;DR version at the bottom)
We all have had, or heard of, incidences of false bans, long image moderation periods, etc. This is due to a lack of ROBLOX employees.
From what I've heard, Roblox, as a company, has somewhere from 80 to 150 employees. That's good, but keep in mind that there's a couple of jobs for these employees. There's employees that:
Make Studio features Make hats Help the community (bans/forum mods/info@roblox.com/image mods, etc.) Work on the mobile app (yes, android is in the works, apparently)
That gives around 20 to 30 employees for each job, considering they're split equally. Chances are, they're not. Now, this seems pretty good, but consider this:
A user that joined in April of this year has an ID of over 40 million. That means there's over 40 million accounts on ROBLOX.
Taking in the alternate account and nonactive players factors, this means there's probably a little under 10 million active players on ROBLOX. Way too much for a team of around 100 people.
Now-and the only reason I use this game as an example is because it has a lot of employees-a game such as Club Penguin, though strict, has around 500 employees. They make millions a year, which allows them to afford a ton of workers. Their rules are enforced, no one is false banned, and their support system is fairly well, which is how they get players to stay.
I'm not saying ROBLOX should get 400 new workers, but do you see how more workers equal more players? If ROBLOX just got a few more people to image moderate, look at emails, and double-check bans, then more people would have a better time playing. That results in them staying longer, which eventually leads up to them purchasing BC for a long period of time.
Not to mention, ROBLOX can afford more workers. They have a couple thousand players buying various levels of BC, and after the server costs are laid out, they can afford an extra 50 or so workers.
Thank you for reading this extensive thread.
TL;DR- If ROBLOX got more employees, which they can afford, then more people would be happier. |

>comparing Club Penguin to ROBLOX Awesome next let's compare apples to photon cannons
Club Penguin is ran by Disney, a multi-billion dollar company. Measure that up to ROBLOX and I'm surprised they haven't been bought out by now.
"Club Penguin... 500 employees" Don't ever make me laugh that hard again.
"Roblox... has somewhere from 80 to 150 employees." They don't even have over 70. |

@keel As I said, they only reason I compared (even though it was more like contrasted) is because Club Penguin has many employees, and it's fairly popular.
I understand Club Penguin is ran by Disney. This is a reason why they can afford more workers. I'm not saying ROBLOX should get tons of workers, but about 50 more should do.
Club Penguin has offices in California, Canada, Britain, Brazil, and I believe France. Trust me, they have tons of employees.
The thing about Roblox not having over 70 employees...I suspected that, but I was hoping it was a lie. This just further increases the need for more workers. |

| But this can't happen because roblox doesn't make enough money to support nearly that many people. They make money by selling BC and robux, and you could imagine the community outrage if they added any more BC-only features. |

| @fire I don't see much inappropriate ads or images, but a look at the comment section of hats or games can show phishing site links (which could be fixed with a simple filter adjustment) or spam for inappropriate games. The bans for these users could take up to an hour, which lets about 20 people go to the site/game. Under no circumstance should this be allowed to happen in a game aimed for kids and teens. |

| @arceus I understand that they can't hire tons of workers, but at least having a couple more would help. As I said, they do have a couple of thousand users buying BC and robux. |

Stopped reading right there.
It's because of the filter. Actual moderators just judge what's already up, its the automated mod filters/bots that decide what goes up and what comes down.
Honestly ROBLOX has more employees than it needs right now. What it needs is someone to fix modbot.

| @yui They wouldn't need modbot if they had more employees, though. That would eliminate machine error, and only leave human error. |

Humans cost money though. All a modbot needs is a single guy or team to program it and all of a sudden you have a ton of extra revenue that you wouldn't have if you were too busy recruiting a huge mod team. It's common for most places to just have a modbot since its a more financially stable solution.

| People now a days just rely on machines to do all their work. But yeah, ROBLOX seriously does need more employees. |

You need to understand that Club.P is a game. ROBLOX is servers. And each server will cost money. So thingk about there budget. They could loose millions of dollars because they are building HQ's where they probably wont even go. And they would be paying people more money. ROBLOX is fine as it is.
ROBLOX is resighing in 2018/\. So I also think it is to late to make more HQ's. |

@Package True. Although, as I just said to Yui, they can afford it. I'm not suggesting they build HQ's in a bunch of places, just getting some more employees. Also, where did you hear that it's resigning in 2018? |

| Yes, but do you know how much money they have? Have you actually seen there bank account? No, so you don;t know if they can afford it. And Shedletsky said on twitter in 2008 that they need to resigh in 2018. Also said with Sorcus and ReeseMcBlox. |

Servers cost a ton of money. All ROBLOX games are completely server based. A single server with one guy on it probably costs about 5-10 dollars, can you imagine how much one of the front page games costs? There's a reason they push BC so much, and its because they need the money. And besides, its not going to take a "few" extra workers to sort through hundreds of images/posts and not take forever. Its going to take HUNDREDS of guys. So much expense when they can just get a modbot.
Also, ROBLOX is a company. At this day and age and how big it is, I doubt they care about what a couple of child "armchair economists" have to say about the game, and for good reason.
